Hi i want to make a swordsman who can deal great dps im not talkin about out dps other classes like archers or wizard cause i know its imposible but to have at least a class who can do some nice numbers can you recomend me a build for it and if not can you recomend me a good tanking build
Cyclone and Hexen Dropper are one of the few swordsman skills that can compete vs other classes without too much setup.
(sept etoils requires preparation to compete sadly)
You should check out on popular build guides that are available in the swordsman section:
Sword > Pel > Hop > Hop > Hop > Doppel > Dragoon
Sword > Pel > Barb > Barb > Barb > Doppel > Doppel
Sword > High > High > Pel > High > Doppel > Doppel
Sword > Pel > Hop > Hop > Corsair > Corsair > Dragoon
Dragoon uses spears right and others uses sword and 2h sword right so if i go with dragoon then i will have to seitch weapon often i mean how do i utilize it i mean before battle i switch in the middle of battle or what

Sword > Pel > Hop > Hop > Corsair > Corsair > Dragoon
use spears by default, either 1H Spear+Shield, 1H Spear+Elemental Daggers, or 2H Spears.
The only time you need to switch is when you decide to take 2H Spears, you use swashbuckling, wait for enemies to get near, then switch back to 2H Spear.
for Corsair though you would want to use 1H spear+elemental dagger(karacha/venom suggested) by default.
Kay so if i go with one of those builds i wont have to be changing constantly weapon right i will only need to choose one of those three 1h spear and shield 2h spear or 1h spear and elemental daggers and change them once in a while when i fill the need to it tlright
Sword > Pel > Hop > Hop > Hop > Doppel > Dragoon
Requires minimal switching, you can even NOT switch at all with 1h Spear+Shield (example, Brandish+Aias). You sacrifice a bit of damage but you get aias benefits. switching to 2H spear just gives you more base damage and attribute damage from dragoon
Ok so i think i will do but if i go with the path with crosair how often i will need to change wepons
And with the c3 hop i can go with not changing weapon
You don’t need to switch that much with corsair too, but you will lose out on cyclone, one of the few powerful end game slash types.
The only time you’ll probably switch is when you are trying to defend yourself through manual blocking with a shield or using peltasta offensives, which you will rarely use anyway other than for pushing mobs that bash also provides
Ok im really hestaitin between the two build cause i really like crosair and his theme i think i will try that and i need for it a 1h spear and elemntal dagger and i will need to switch to 2h spear from time to time
if you are taking corsair you don’t really need to invest into 2H spear that much, corsair specializes in dual wielding with Hexen, Dual Weapon Assault and Dust Devil. so you are fine with permanently dual wielding
Ah ok so i will go swordsman-pel-hop-hop-crosair-crosair-dragoon and will be playing with duel wilding 1h spear and elmental dagger am i right thx very mouch on the help
yes, just have any random shield(aias is best though if you want) ready in case you need to block, good luck and have fun.

Problem with swordsman classes is you need good equipment to do that.
If you have something like:
Maga Spear/brandish
Karacha Dagger
Sissel Bracelets
your damage on Spear Lunge+hexen dropper should be good.
It’s still okay without proper equipment, but not what you are expecting.
What i mean is im not excpectin 1hit kill all the time or killing everything with ease im just want that i wil be able to do nice damage i mean to not sweat end split blood on every boss battle or having hard time killing normal mobs for me kilimg mobs with 3 to 4 hits is nice
Sure you can, but expect losing a lot of hp fighting magic monsters with 100k+ hp and do 1k-2k per hit, they are very common on high levels
tip: you can add in bash into your rotation to chain knock down -some- mobs.
Uau that going to be hell but i think i can manage it as long as i will not die every second
