Svalphinghas elevator?

I just reached Svalphinghas for the first time…and I seem to have no means to go to the “second area” . There seems to be an elevator but the platform never actually comes however long I wait or switch channels. Am I missing something?

EDIT: switching to keyboard was able to jump down from a different area. Still feels like the elevator should show up though…

Sometimes elevator can sometimes glitch out of existence aka despawn…

Leaving the screen where the elevator is located usually restart the animation…

funny thing is, it work the other way round…
