Here you go.

Just donāt forget that DEX also provides some survivalbility: Accuracy and Evasion. So itās obvious that you need more STR to deal more damage.
So yeah, the most optimal build will cost you some damage but provide you with much better survivalbility.
1 DEX is 1 dodge rating.
1 level is 1 dodge rating.
If his table is correct then:
At level 300 you have 299 stats to allocate. DEX doesnāt gain 10% bonus.
Meaning youād have to dump most of them into DEX to even gain 80% dodge.
Not counting leather armor bonuses here though.
Not to mention mobs have DEX and accurancy.
I would be happy with just above 50% dodge rating myself which is easily obtainable as a Swordsman.
Just putting this out there.
Just going to explain leather armor set bonuses too.
So basically if you max it to 50 you gain 50+25 = 75 more evasion.
Someone correct me if Iām wrong please.
Compare it to plate:
So basically if you max it to 50 you gain
One of the main reasons Koreans prefer Plate over Leather is because Plate has more defense too.
80% is insanely a lot.
Itās like 5x your HP against physical.
But what I mean, DEX grants you survivalbility. So if you can get almost the same DPS itās ALWAYS better to get it through DEX.
Also plate armor has much better synergy with DEX, because itās bonus HP results in even more effective HP.
Well yeah.
For survivability I would say CON is better.
Since MDEF in ToS is terrible and you canāt avoid magic at all.
Swordsmen gain more health too and block / crit defense is nice.
But DEX is an offensive ability too.
Health helps more end game, but Swords usually just get around 20k hp and stop raising CON.
Lot of monsters at end game have magic.
Canāt dodge that stuff or block it.
I thought armor bonuses give you a bonus based on your own level, now that I think about it you might be right. At least the % based bonuses from 3 and 4 pieces are good.
Iād like to add that STR does scale block, for 2H Swords anyway.
