Some names of some stuff

Why just not make them full English? Most of you probably don’t understand, so I’ll explain. A lot of areas, bosses and even the main city are a bit broken Lithuanian words.
Klaipeda? Lithuania’s harbor city
Siauliai? Another city here
A boss in Crystal Mines named Mirtis? Yeah, it directly translates into Death.
All Goddesses and their names in the game? Lithuania’s pagan Goddesses from ancient times. They even match, which is pretty cool

My point is, why not just name them correctly so that everyone would understand? Like, Gele Plateau - Flower Plateau and such. Seriously, if you’re bored, try translating some of these weirder words you find - they will suddenly have a very clear meaning

Because it doesn’t sound as nice.

The game is based on Baltic mythology, so I don’t have any problem with it. I can see why you do though, since it’s something you grew up with, and now it’s getting publicity in a video game.
Things having cryptic meaning are nice, because usage of foreign words creates sense of mystery, it makes things interesting.
Imagine it like this, if you had an interest in ancient rome and their army, if you look at Centurion, you’ll think “oh cool, I’ve heard about these things before in books”.

If you called boss “Death”, it’s pretty stupid sounding. “Mirtis” sounds interesting because most people don’t know what it really means. Sure, if you speak lithuanian, then there might be no difference to you, but if you don’t, then the latter is definitely cool name. If the names were Polish, German, Greek, you probably wouldn’t have a problem with it, but well, you got the short end of the stick, so you’ll have to deal with it.
