So what's your day 1 impression?

Wow wow dud just stop.dont be that guy.

I’m not being anyone!! XD hahahah it’s just an advice for life… some people believe that they are being fair when they are not  we cant desire bad things for anyone

First Day: Put brother on school bus, sat down and started the client.

Was pretty smooth, honestly. That was before the huge queue came and practically uprooted the server. I somewhat expected it, but it was extreme at certain points. If I were to ignore everyone trying to cram themselves into the server like everyone asking the hot single girl to prom, the game was for the most part responsive. Certain details have been improved, and the structure of the game actually feels more cohesive on the control side, but it’s still pretty early to tell if there’s any bugs.

I’ve seen far more irresponsible official servers from notorized publishers, which is why I can actually give IMC some time and faith to improve themselves. Right now, the bigger things they have to focus on are hotfixing the rigged TP shop’s pricing and giving people a free Server Transfer so people can go where they want.

tl;dr Far from perfect, but livable in all respects. Somewhere within the realm of mediocre and okay.

Damn, lots of whiny babies in this thread.

I just want to use the few time I have to play as I want. Also I’m pretty sure that a entire guild changing to another server is likely not happening so the people I play and so will stay on the same server. My build is already tested the way I want. I just need to watch out for connection/server issues while trying to use things like EXP books or so, then I’m using the few hours a day I have in a way that I won’t be doing things just for “oh, I can’t do it because <any random thing that doesn’t really matter>…”.

My point is that there’s no such thing as “real MMO player” when it comes to making decisions based on the time you have. Maybe it could apply to cases you do things in a careless way but I won’t even consider it as I don’t agree with naming these things xD

Don’t get me wrong you’re free to do as you will in the end it was your money after all, I should have phrased myself better. I just find it a waste seeing how some people ran into bugged NPCs and can’t continue, and such. In other words “Better safe than sorry.” is what I was aiming at. Either way you clearly planned ahead and know what you’re doing so carry on.

Also I never mentioned the “real MMO player” part that is a silly term , I agree.

Overall, yes it could have been better. However, I was not hit by massive server que’s, either. From what I read, those first hours were terrible (forum stalking while at work). I logged in around 8pm my time and only had a 10 minute que, if that. Longest list was maybe 80 people long and it went though pretty fast. And this was on Klaipeda. Ya’ll should be thankful that the que’s were as short as they were, Blade and Soul released and there were que’s of over 5000 on the populated servers.

The in game delay though, that’s pretty bad, not gonna lie. I’ve found that switching channels allows you to talk to previously unresponsive npc’s, but doing so repeatedly really take away from the gameplay and questing. The dc’ing was annoying, but I rarely had a que to get back in. I just stayed on low populated channels and tried to figure things out cause I’ve not played CB and didn’t want to rush though. There are bugs and glitches ofc that still need to be ironed out, but what game out there didn’t have bugs day 1 of a public release (this isn’t a closed beta, so yes, it’s still technically a public release despite being behind a paywall).

Am I miffed that it’s not OMG PERFECT? Yea, kinda. But I’m not gonna throw in the towel cause people are human and things will get fixed. The company wants this game to work, not to flounder and die in a month.

If you really thing about it. Most quests are ok if you wait about 30 seconds. I have almost one of the worst Internet connections in my region. My ping is like ~300-350. I lost my connection at ~5h a.m. Even with things like this I’m being able to do all quests by waiting 3-10s after pressing “Talk” button a single time. Then almost all issues doesn’t apply anymore.

Guess people make it sound worse than it actually is? shrugs

the only premium items i bought are cosmetic and we get to keep those cause we get to keep our characters

Well you have nothing to waste there, was talking about the ones with a time limit.

having played a handful of MMOs over the past decade, I have expected to be disappointed with bugs and what-nots, so basically, my expectations were met :stuck_out_tongue:
however, I didn’t get to play CBT, so when I finally got in the next day I was pretty surprised how relaxed I felt despite the lag and rubber-banding I encountered. I loved the graphics, it’s like the aesthetics of Super Giant mixed with some of the mechanics from some popularcoughdiablocough isometric games out there.
so even if I spent only around 2 hours playing on my first day, I enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to playing more

It hopefully will be an awesome game! I really enjoyed it more than I should have considering how simple it is in the beginning.

We played for probably 8 hours together and I’d say finished roughly an hour of actual gameplay from each of us swapping channels / some quests just straight not working / job advancements not even scripted.

Dont you think its sad how you and people like you say they now think bugs are ok and all. Hell you even want them now.
Its like you expecte to be raped the moment you leave your home because there lots of rape going on and police dont do ■■■■. Ohhh wait in some placec its like this becouse people exapted its part of the rapests culture.(its an extremely hard example only).

I believe your analogy is an insult to those who were actually assaulted. if you didn’t comprehend what I meant by “my expectations were met” then I pity your poor comprehension.
and it’s none of your business if people find enjoyment in things you don’t.
to each his own. nobody asked you to judge how others found their first day in this game.
you hated yours? then poor you, kthnxbye.

I dont care what you like and i did say its an extreme example. Dont play the offended one here.
Now rhis bad launches will be a thing as long as people like you will openly say they think its ok. That they expecting it and what not.
The moment a game will fail after a lounch like this after 1-3 months then we star see companies doing much better openings.
But hay if you like pay for thungs and then get a probuct that works 80%-90% then i dont know what say.

and I don’t care about people who thinks it’s their business to preach about fascism in the gaming industry or how to spend one’s money when they think it’s “only an extreme example” to trivialize sexual assault by comparing it to making terrible financial choices.

Ok lets stop it here. i didnt say you did a bad investment in this game. I say gamers need to demend 100% working products for what ever they paying.
As for the rape, there lots of people in the eu that say the rape by emigrats is ok and need to be expected as its part of the culture they comeing from. Its just an example, an extreme one but working.

Some people say that Hitler did nothing wrong. Please, stop. Enjoy the game or not, pay for it or not but don’t spam complains.

  1. Freedom of speech bruh, don’t like complaints? Don’t read the forums (going by your logic).
  2. Some of us actually want this game to succeed, that’s why we’re spamming the forums with complaints in hopes it actually reaches the appropriate ears.
