It’s called corruption. Call it conspiracy if you like, but all these decisions being made points to the GMs actually playing on a certain server and having basic human feelings.
Some of the decisions made so far from day 1 seems extremely biased and in favor of a certain server/guild.
The difference is that the last one that involved channel crashing was an incident that disrupted gameplay for hundreds of users + allowed players extra chances to get a 25m - 30m item in the process. The whole thing was far more damaging than this, a chance to get an instance reset at best looking at this realistically (Unless someone rolls the cube, gets a Harpiea cube, and gets a Petamion from that).
You’re completely missing the point. I even bolded the word ‘involved’.
It’s not about the channel crashers being banned, it’s about the people who opened the cubes multiple times during it. It caused much more of an uproar and the payout item was worth much more. You don’t see tons of people flooding posts on the forums and shouting in-game about “People running event on multiple characters, **** IMC, game is on fire again”. The best thing you’re getting out of this is an Instance Reset, unless you wanna include the probability of getting a Harpiea Cube which then gives you a Petamion.
You’re still completely lost. In case you didn’t know, entering TBL and instances was causing the cube timer to reset. That bug is the same thing that’s happening right now with the event, what I’m saying has absolutely nothing to do with channel crashing, it was already fixed before TBL/instances bug, bolded it for you. Abrassives are the best reward, and superiors are good.
Of course nobody is getting banned for the event, seriously, I don’t think you actually read.[quote=“lagunarealm48, post:19, topic:346192, full:true”]
I mean, I don’t think people should be banned for this, and IMC won’t even think about that. I’m just making a point that wild bugs caused by IMC’s incompetence shouldn’t be punished if abused.

That (temporarily) existed months before the recent banwave and no one got banned for it. They got banned for it this time because the channel crashing was an added factor. It’s BECAUSE of the channel crashing even existing that people got banned because it was adding too much chaos to the whole situation. The channel crashing was resetting the boxes which people admitted to re-opening right after logging back in. This should make it simple:
If crashing the channel during this event reset the instances for the event entry if you were on the same channel, and people took advantage of this and repeatedly went in on the same characters after the channels crashed, they would likely be banned.
See now? This isn’t the same as right now because interfering with other players on the server isn’t a factor, and a bunch of Gem Abrasives don’t compare to a Pract on any of the servers. That’s the answer to the title of this thread.
And this… so if IMC’s next maintenance makes it so using a Cube inside of Earth Tower lets you get the item and keep the cube and I spam it non-stop for Blessed Shards, I shouldn’t be punished? There’s a time when you fix an issue, and when you fix an issue + punish those who took advantage of it.
You’re wrong, except that it did happen before and nobody got banned.
The /pmp command got fixed during an emergency maintenance on monday 16th, started 00:00 server time. This maintenance broke some stuff and made that bug happen again (TBL reset), after maintenance, no command anymore, this time not only TBL, but auto matching for any instance would reset the timer too (I think it also had to do with cookies, but unnecessary detail).
The TBL/instances bug wasn’t interfering with other players, just like this event, the profit doesn’t matter, the point is they’re both bugs, the same kind of abuse and both should be punished if IMC really wants to be consistent. If you mean they’re incompetent and don’t know how to properly investigate, used the same criteria for both, people resetting the cube through channel crashing and through TBL/instances, yeah you’re right.
Unfortunately, this has always been the case since the game started, IMC shouldn’t have suddenly started banning people without making an announcement saying they knew about the bug and to not reopen the cube after joinning TBL/instances because they were going to ban for it. Also, TBL only resetted the timer, you didn’t get extra practs, you were just getting the pract ahead of time.
Correct. It’s not that hard to see the incompetence, they’re different things, different events that got mixed together when they shouldn’t have, when they should have been treated differently, but people on these forums are just “hurr durr cheaters, perma ban them all”, by the very same logic IMC should ban people abusing this event.
Are you from fedimian? This man reputation is well known in the whole server but extending it into forums it’s amazing, yet his bots are still running out there unpunished
Yeah, sad case. Cube popping people are more of opportunists whom benefit from the crash exploits, and since they are easier and faster to track, they get the ban hammer faster (just track the no of keistas lv4 potions they get over the exploit period since that’s the only way to get that potion, through the cube?).
