Returning Player (after a long time)

Hello! I’m thinking of returning to ToS after quite some time. I stopped playing around May - June 2016. I’ve tried reading through several posts, but I am definitely at a loss with several things added and changed in the game. I ended up getting confused. Hahaha!

My character before was full-support SPR with very little DPS, and from what I have read, FS types aren’t needed much anymore. Is there a rank route that allows me to mainly support, but sometimes solo level? Something with Diev and PD maybe?

Also, I’ve read that ranks can be reset now? Is this for free or paid?

Hi,

Right now I think there is no free rank reset. There are some changes to wizards and swordmen classes which will give free reset again. You can buy it if you want.

The support build can be very helpful, which build do you have?

Don’t listen to them, a priest, a chrono or a thauma is always welcome on bosses, challenge modes and ET!

What “FS” build do you have ? As a Cleric, almost any builds is viable as long as the classes have some kinds of synergies.
Priest 3 - Chaplain is one of the most popular builds for example, even though it’s full of green-support classes.

You have one free Rank Reset as a reward from your Adventure Journal. You get some when big changes happen as well.
And if you haven’t logged in a month, you should have one in your mail as well (in your characters lodge).

I’m not sure if it will apply to you, it may do, but returning players event is always on (automated event), when you log in after 1 or 2 months of absence you will receive a 14 days reset token on your mail box, so you might be able to reset to what you want, also, since you don’t play since 2016, you may have, at Adventurers Journal a reset stats potion (you can check on the AJ window), if you have enough points it will show in highlight when you press the treasure box button in the same window.

You can retrieve the items on Wings of Vaivora NPCs (Klaipeda or Orsha), note that, these items aren’t timed, so you may receive a rank reset too from them, in that case, save it for later and use the timed one.

If you want to stick more support, I would recommend some builds with Taoist, as there is an Earth Tower event, people are needing this class a lot. Diev3 Miko is also welcome. Something like https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#4122777ih1

But I agree with you if you feel the game like they don’t need support. I already got some full support characters, including one similar as above , but I think it vary. There are some ultra powerful players with the best gears and weapons and features that can solo things like CM or Unique Raid. Earth Tower is possible (not sure all floors). But there are other 99,99% of players. And some of those 0,01% are clerics (to survive some hard core contents or to heal things to complete a goal)

My FS (with slight DPS) build is actually going for Full SPR Chaplain before if I remembered correctly. I have a Cleric C1/2 with Priest C3, then I stopped cause I got really busy and eventually forgot about the game. I was planning on ending up as a Plague Doctor before. Hahaha! I’m considering changing to a build that is solo-levelling friendly since I think there are not much low levelled players now thus it will be hard for a full-support to level up.

P.S. Still downloading the game, so I haven’t really checked my character yet for specific stuff.

It isn’t so hard to level. It used to be. Now there are many things to get +x% of xp and you can get buffed in town and remain an hour in a high level map and getting tons of xp. I head people reaching 360 without much effort (one or two weeks) . So probably if didn’t receive rank reset you can go and create a character and get there very quickly.

By the way, I wouldn’t recommend full Spr in your build. I would go Int. You my stay spr and go the build I mentioned earlier if you feel like it

Frankly if you didn’t play in two years and have just one character, don’t bother resetting it, just delete it and start anew. You should get a “returning savior” pack to help you level your character in no time (in the mailbox). See this announcement for more details: https://treeofsavior.com/page/news/view.php?n=1285. If you redeem the pack before April 6, you can even get a rookie pack for free, which is usually only accessible to fresh level 1 teams.
