No, with old circling I would have more CD and less time to make a combo. And I would take even more time to do this because I would rely just on circling. With the new falconer sometimes I didn’t even use circling and I’m clearing mobs. And I had this gear grade and tried to clear this DG sometime ago when I was developing my guide. Took me 14 minutes. The only difference is that I had Transcend Level on 4 and Upgrade Level +8, Manahas Set, 2 Sissel and a Petamion.

Now… if with all this gear and 40~100 ping it took me 14 minutes to clear the DG and today Falconer without this gear and with 500 ping leads me to 15 minutes, who is better? Old or New?
EDIT 1: OHH Forgot to mention that this video was made by the time Circling Expand had this OP 1MILLION MORE DAMAGE BUG! This strenghtens my point even more!

Just wanted to say that “completely changing a signature skill of a class that actually makes it viable” is also present in many other games, not just TOS.
We are having a bug in Telsiai right for days now, players’ adventure points are not increasing/updating properly. IMC needs to address and resolve this.

Eh, I think Rank 9 will be good if IMC kept true to their word of making the ranks scale up in a nice gradual slope. Right now it’s just a mess of either one circle wonders or abuseable combos or single class dominance. Anything is better than that.
The circling change is good. It used to be OP with unlimited AoE but it’s about the only thing Falcon can give. Right now that’s a significant nerf but if Falconeer can finally do other sensible things beside Circling then I’m all for it. Well, if you’re playing Falcon ONLY for circling (idk maybe you like it so much) then tough luck because Falconeer isn’t only about circling now (have you seen that pheasant though? Good God it’s become quite the beast).
Actually this seems to be a misconception, Fedimian must have gotten a huge increase in botters clogging up the adventurers journal rankings.
The reason is simple:
While my casual playing did land me easily on Rank 100-300 on September and October, for November I was always down at Rank 3000,although I didn’t drastically change my playing behaviour.
I even had more points at the end of November than in October.
And while there is the possibility of 3000 players suddenly joining the server (as there weren’t that many players in the rankings in October that high), my guess is that some MMORPG-goldseller company targeted Fedimian for November [as the number of gold spammers in town also drastically increased, they must’ve created all the silver somehow to sell it,right?], so the actual player numbers are way way lower than these Adventurers Journal numbers might suggest.
I don’t think that WoE even existed at this point in RO’s development history. IIRC it took a couple years.
First server went live at the end of 1999 and 2003 was WoE update (Episode 4), so it came relatively early in ROs life:
