All things said and done, what matters most here is which class suits your play style better, not which class is the best.
Both Priest 1 and Diev 1 are good choices for a Pal-Inqui build with different pros and cons. Diev 1 is better at CC and makes you cast skills faster with Laima while Priest offers better dps support via Monstrance (since everyone’s going DEX these days) and Resu in case someone f*cks up. Priest2, Diev2 or Priest1-PD is a different story though.
I’ve played a Diev3 and personally I find that it’s either I go C3 or nothing. Laima, World Tree and Ausirine are the key utilities of this class. Not going C3 for Ausirine is a big blow in my case. Going Inquisitor, I opted to drop Diev2 (Laima+Tree) for Priest-PD (Monstrance+HF) because I want more sustainability and survivability when I solo. I’ll just have to rely on Barrier to fend off mobs and mitigate some magic damage since I don’t have Diev’s CC.
At the end of the day, choose which class will suit you the best. Metas became metas for a reason… because they are effective and better at the moment. But that won’t matter if you won’t be able play it efficiently. Most important of all, play with something that you know you’ll enjoy and have fun. Games are made so we can have fun. Let’s stop with all the hate here.

, looks exactly what i was looking for , a cleric that can solo well , support in party and is hard to kill
