I wondered that myself,but saw that Elementalists can get a boost from Cyro down the line,so I went that direction when I played since my path involves it later on.
I will agree that it’s harder to control.I mis-aimed a number of times when I was grinding and the attacks completely missed.But it got easier to use closer to the end of the test,and I’ll most likely pick it again and may consider pyro too since we can do that now.I would recommend giving it a try at least.
wouldn’t it be better to stick with one and make it to cricle 2 or 3 so the damage get stronger instead of picking both and end up with more skills but take lesser damage cuz they are only lvl 5?
It all depends if you want more utility or damage. Cryomancer has so much more utility than Pyromancer does because it has a freezing chance on all attacks and has more CC. Pyromancer only has the Enchant Fire skill as a support and I don’t think it’s that good atm (Gotta test level 15 before I can make a judgement but atm I don’t like it much). But generally, if you wanted pure damage, going C3 is better because that increases your burst potential.
Really? Cryomancer was marked as “hot” in the iCBT, which supposedly indicates how many people picked it.
Personally, I picked Pyromancer because I wanted to know if it’s still viable after the nerfs. And personally, the nerfs has made it quite useless. Flare? Sight based, high cd and rather meh damage for the requirements to be able to use it at all. Firewall? Rather long cd for the damage. Fireball? Quite good, but it was nerfed even more afterwards. Enchant fire? Enchants auto attack only, and that’s boring.

Or you just go along with the cows because everybody picks “x build” ?

Also made me think more elements would be cool.Like air or light.Or does another class have something like that? Admittedly I’ve only read up on the mage branches.
Krivis and Elementalist are the only ones that use Lightning, Wiz is only one using Earth attacks… Dark is for Sorcerer and Necro (not sure) while Light is basically mostly Cleric and that’s all I really know of.

We should get one with air down the line then,maybe! Like wind thrust/tornado attacks,or maybe you can travel with it as an ability to move faster? [more than dash i mean] I dunno,just throwing ideas out there!
The only thing that I can think of that has wind is Cryomancer with the Gust skill but… it’s still considered Ice and it doesn’t really do damage unless you get the attribute for it which is 50% of your current Magic Attack … so not that great but it’s good CC as far as I know.
Moving faster through skill is already in the game, Chronomancers have the skill Haste that increases your movement speed.
It would be cool to have Air based skills, but they might consider Lightning as Air-type so, yeah, Zaibas and Eletrocute might be the best we gonna get.
Yeah but Haste isn’t as flashy and showy as moving on a wind current would be!

Well… go swordsman and use Trot and get a Chronomancer to Haste you… SUPAH SPEEEDD!
Their outfits look really neat,but I’m wondering how many people are actually gonna be Chronomancers…
If I don’t find another Pyromancer build, I’m probably going to go Chronomancer. I can’t decide if Fire Ball 15 and Hell Breath are worth getting atm since so much has changed in the KCBT
