[PSA] - UPDATE! The Developers Listened! - Keeping people from transferring silver to their team members is very stupid

Check it out!

Players can just list market place items for a high price and buy it on alts. This is dumb. Doesn’t stop anyone, just annoys them. Why can’t we transfer items and/or on alts? Does anyone have a legit reason why?

Let me explain why no one will ever have a legit reason to restrict team storage like Tree of Savior has.

  1. It’s dumb. No point to making a crafting character as their profits can’t go to anyone else in the team. Well, technically you can. You can list low level materials for high prices and buy them on an alt to transfer. However this system hinders the usefulness of crafting classes to the actual crafter. They make all this money but have to bend over backwards to do anything team-based with it.

  2. It doesn’t stop bots or RMTs. Let’s paint the worst case scenario here. Let’s say I am a bot and I have a level 120+ character that farms me the silver I use to sell. When I get a customer, I can transfer the silver to an alt of mine to keep my identity secret. Now I can go onto the market and buy my customer’s high priced item and give them silver… except all transactions are frozen for 48 hours, which is more than enough time for a GM to notice that an item that normally sells for 1.2k is now selling for several hundred thousand and was recently bought. The GM is capable (or should be) of banning an entire account/team. So the GM bans both parties and the bot has lost one of their farming characters.

  3. It’s just a pain for players. You want to buy x item on y character but x character has the money. Too bad you can’t use your money to buy it and transfer it to your own character. Why do I have a team again? My team has no interactions with each other in any way. Sure if I have a token I can transfer one item. But really? That’s going to sit behind an $18 paywall?

  4. It’s a missed opportunity by IMC to combat inflation. Yeah you heard me. Not having team storage is actually foolish. Team storage could have made a great silver sink. If they charged you to put items in and take them out (maybe near the sell price?) just imagine how much silver be removed from the system. It’s like, I am trying to spend money here. I am trying to get rid of silver in the system. You’re stopping me? Even worse,

yes they can and lose 30% of the silver hahahaha

Which doesn’t stop anyone and with the token it’s 10%.

To annoy us apparently

It might not have anything to do with stopping you from doing it.

They might see it as a trade is a trade whether to your alt or not… same thing with the potential loss. Trading to your alt you have to go thru the same thing as trading to anyone else.

I’m not supporting it or anything though. I’d like to give my alt some tax free silver.

Not really. I can walk up to someone, provided I paid IMC at least $18, and simply trade them (assuming they to have paid $18). There is no waiting for possibly hours and there is way less errors that are prone to occur (buying the wrong item when transferring silver).

It is much harder to transfer silver to yourself and it’s a joke, considering it’s your own team. We share a lodge. No one can leave some silver on the bed or something?

What does this even prevent? It makes it so that RMTs have to do transactions on a character with money. Getting that banned will hurt, I am sure, but you know what else would hurt? Just banning their entire team. So no. It doesn’t actually combat RMT.

IMO, theyre not actually “keeping” people to transfer silvers nor they’re annoying us. It’s the bots, blame them

Read above. Team storage does nothing to stop bots.

Items. You can do this quickly to your alt with items to your alt too.

Now we’re talking about silver again. If you want to attempt to trade silver to someone you have to go thru the market as well.

About the next part with RMT, i dont really see how it prevents RMT at all. I usually can think of something, but your characters are linked through accounts. I dont think a silver selller would have thier farmer on the same account. IDK though.

The only reason for it i can think of is what i said in my first post.

I’m talking about characters on the same team. You can’t sign into both at the same time and trade yourself. Even if you could, you might as well just have a better team storage at point.

This is stupid though. You’re just wasting time and giving users more of a chance to fail with their actual transaction. If I just want to give my own team member some silver, why must I wait an upwards of two hours and potentially lose everything? No one sees a problem with this? This kind of crap flies?

Also I edited the OP to be more constructive.

i do agree with #1 on ur OP,
now im not saying its a good thing or bad im just looking at the possibility as to why they could of done it.

maybe they are trying to stop players who “buy” silver (bulk) because, if they were to do that, they would have to buy for each character. spending more money. but prob to someone who blows their $$$ wouldnt matter lol.

but yeh it would be awesome to be able to make ur class useful for your team.
well see what happens either way im still happy with the game.

atm to make silver i bulk up in talt (dungeon item) and to which ever my characters need silver i transfer the talt
1 talt = 5k at selling to npc
it really adds up
10 talt = 50k silver :open_mouth:
atm im not finding silver to be a problem for me, and im not saying it is for u. just speaking my thoughts

i want to be able to open my founders box and not feel like ■■■■ because i cant xfer the contents into another character

and i also hate buying/farming for another arde dagger when i make my next main,

god dammit IMC!

IMC, please let us transfer silver to our alts. I fell like creating alts its not rewarding. If you like playing multiple characters, you`ll never be able tou buy that cool 1m weapon, if you only have 300k in each character. There is no point in creating alts.

We did it!

What do you mean with “we did it”? No change on the current system was announces, or did I miss it?

I can’t believe this is still a “good solution” to them when it’s not even working and bothers your player base. Gold Sellers looking to sell silver and players wanting to 1:1 trade need to use the same method. Nothing is done against Gold Sellers, they are just annoying players and gold sellers alike.

This thread was about the team storage issue. It wasn’t really about trading. That still needs a better solution, but team storage looks like it’s being taken care of.

Oh gotcha! Good then!
