TBH even if IMC creates new content nobody will be there to play it. The reset event only generated alt accounts not real players. TOS is in a death spiral because they don’t have any presence in social media or Youtube.

Even still if the game was actually good they would get free “word of mouth” publicity.

As long they continue using the korean kToS management team to manage the iToS, without a proper iToS dev/mng team branch like others game companies, at least the iToS is doomed to mediocrity. The iToS player base is very different from the kToS, we need a dedicated team to make proper marketing and divulgation as well feedback analysis.

IMC can never fix TOS because the game engine and netcode is crap so don’t expect any good content from them. People that are waiting for PVP and GVG are wasting time because it will always be subpar to other MMOs.

I did try to stream on youtube (newbie streamer) every time I play, streaming to showcase the game, hopefully can get more players to join.
The problem is after the reset event (where players view to see new builds and ask new stuff daily), there isn’t anything really worthwhile to stream. Every day was log in stream saalus runs x 8-10, 4x ET runs, do some alt questing and levelling… It kind of become clockwork after a while, where daily stream content is the same.
There isn’t much content in the current game to stream to attract players to view/play though, and the game is so repetitive that not many players would like to chitchat or talk during missions/dungeons.
Really need more PVE content, hidden stuff and a fix of PVP to attract more streamers.

Even if TOS creates new exciting content it will not make that much of an impact without media coverage from gaming sites or prominent Youtubers. I’ll give you a good example. Recently, FFXIV had a new raid boss which was based on a classic FF villain. The production value is top notch and maybe the best raid boss I have seen in any MMO but the viewership of the videos are low. Why? Because the players that are watching them are mostly FFXIV fans. Did it increase FFXIV players? Maybe because the vets are excited to return to fight that certain raid boss but did they gain new players? Most likely a few because it was not covered by top level Youtubers and gaming media.
Sometimes hype is more than enough to reignite a game. Just look at the newly relaunched RO. They had a decent media coverage and promos for internet cafes that are willing to install their game. TOS doesn’t even a have a ■■■■■■■ poster in internet cafes in SEA. It is very hard to maintain a playerbase in this generation without social media and various promos. Even AAA games like Battleborn and For Honor have terrible numbers in Steam. IMC doesn’t really have the money to pay for promos but Nexon Japan can probably do something about it.

I see people talking about Albion Online, but it looked very boring to me. Not only that, but I don’t care for a PvP-focused game.
I guess I will wait for Legends of Aria and play that instead. It looks much closer to an Ultima Online successor, so hopefully I will have fun with that game when it is released ^o.o^
I actually care for a PvP centric game, but the art style isn’t doing it for me. Wish Tree of Savior was a PvP centric game that wasn’t P2W. Well I guess a PvP centric game HAS to be non-P2W.

I left ToS maybe 6 weeks ago and restarted playing League.Also just started FFXIV and I’m enjoying it. Like many people said ni this post, I just did’t have anything to do anymore in ToS. Ran ET a few times, crafted 1 2 practo weapon. Staretd grinding a second one and realized it was’nt worth the hassle. Stopped doing any dailys, stopped logging in and played lol games instead. Not that I hate ToS. Just got bored.
Will eventually get bored of FFXIV and move on to something else.

It’s k, with upcomnig updates, such sorc buff and 2handed maces, i bet people will come for the hype again.

The bots are players, and they are farming a lot!! Which makes IMC happy.
Imagine all the bots ignoring the 2h maces!! Because monk/pala3 inst a bot class.

They didn’t even understand that pvp is the only thing that gives meaning to a game.
Release a 24/24 pvp and you will see the population grow day by day.

For all the PvP fans in here, have any of your played games in which its open world pvp all the time? ive been looking at a few but they all look kinda meh. so any suggestions would be welcome. theres was one a while ago i cant find were it was 1 life pvp, as in your character gets deleted when it dies. it sounded hardcore but graphics were n64 level.
