Players Using Hook64 destroying the game

the only way imc ever takes action if it actually spreads like crazy, so this is truly the only way to see action done.

But we probably won’t because the one making the hack is more knowledgeable about the game’s inner workings than the random forum mod or gm picked up from the street.

funny how he’s gonna do better at getting subs for his hack than sub (token) sales on this game

Yeah, when we were in beta phases. Then I might have agreed with you.

We’ve been playing the official release for a few months now.If the damage from things like this gets too severe, there is no choice or action that really wins here.Rolling back or taking the game down loses them money, players their time and effort, and of course loss of more players;which they need to try and stop as is.

Do they need to act fast on this? Absolutely. But sending in a mass of tickets from a lot of users would be better than this. This is just throwing gasoline on the raging inferno.

Please stop putting up links to this, you aren’t helping the situation.

He still secretly admires TOS. On the outside, it’s just reverse psychology. :stuck_out_tongue:

Everyone, flag the post for moderation (select “Something else”) and then detail to IMC staff that the post has a link to the hack website/download.

Flagged for moderation/staff attention. (ack, now is Saturday … )

I love the people who are QQing over the advertisement. This hack should be abused.

IMC is a sloppy company that doesn’t move until the walls are basically on fire. Any respectable gaming company would have patched this hack within a day, especially such a game breaking one.

The more damage this bug does the better. It’ll push the game towards a wipe. TOS would benefit most if the server just closed for a year so IMC can fix all the bugs, then reopen with a wipe with real intention of making the game playable/managing the community.

Isn’t it ironic that you guys want to flag for staff attention, when the staff is already LINKED in the post LOL!

To all who thinks it’s a good idea to take down link and “just send a ticket” - there are piles of tickets from ppl like you. Nobody cares unless you make the issue MASSIVE and bring it to everyone’s attention. Bug-users gonna bug-use, whiners gonna whine, ticket believers gonna send their tickets, all that together will create a pressure making them to actually do something useful. All of that, not some separate elements.

Unless you desire to be ignored that is. Look at Sin in TF2 community as an example. He’s been making exploits a massive thing for years, and that made Valve fix them all.

You are absolutely insane.A wipe would be equivalent to suicide for them. They have a horrible track history thus far,and a huge gap of time with the game back down [after a release] would just make the game forgotten with time. They would never recover.

Give it a rest with that term.It went from being one used to insult people who kiss the asses of IMC no matter what,to one stamped on people who have even a slightly different opinion than the people who despise this game and for some reason, still stick around.

I’m not super in love with this game like I used to be,but I do believe it can make a recovery with the right steps and things like this just take us 2 steps back for every shaky step forward. The merger happened and we got some nice improvements, the announcement posts are slightly more frequent,it’s nice to see. They obviously care to some extent if we’re all still here posting, and they’re giving us updates.

You also obviously care in some way, since you’re still here. But please, keep acting like you don’t care,it’s very convincing.

You seem to have an awful lot of faith in private servers.Do you really think that will be updated and fixed more than the main game? You’d have even less people working on the upkeep of a private server, and they’d have no way to make new content ahead of the main game.

Well you don’t have to do that here.

I keep up with the subreddit, but thank you.

Honestly people who think that private servers would save their experience with the game know so little on how games work they probably wouldn’t be able to install Unity.
somethisomthing programing is hard and a mess.

Wow I didn’t know that I’m a white Knight.

I flag the post so that it can get the attention from the company it deserves. This game isn’t perfect, there are numerous flaws. As players and consumers what we can do is to quickly get the dev know about the exploits and bugs so they can fix it. Bashing the company doesnt help in any way.

FFXIV took a year off after admitting it was a mess and recovered beautifully, unfortunately, IMC isn’t at the level to attempt something similar.
They’re unskilled period.

They won’t patch it because they have no idea what’s going on. They won’t buy a sub on this random guy’s site to acquire the hack and poke at it. Regular players will actually have to pay their own money and send it to them, and rofl @ that. And IMC won’t open it because they just think its junkmail.

FFXIV had the money of Square Enix, a big company that does a lot more than videogames and have been at it for years with a policy of not allowing anything to not give them black numbers (See the ammount of extra material and merchandice games get, even Drakengard2 got novels and everything).

You are comparing one of the biggest companies in the medium with an extremely small one.

yea, its in response to the people that said they need to do a wipe.
And someone said, it be suicide for them, so they can’t do that.

And they’re not good enough to fix the current problems, they’re out of their league. Both routes are deadends.

They’re cutting channels and servers to near closed beta period because they can’t afford the upkeep. And ninja-cutting more channels after each maintenance.

The cheapest solution and IMC’s only way to stop this hack is paying the maker of this hack to remove it as a settlement lol.
