He/She got a valid point and as our EU community demands a EU server why not having a NA west server? Isn it common in most âbigger mmosâ that Publisher provide a West/East Server? Imagine the international server were in west coast - youll see threads popping âhey we need an east coast server badly its so unfairâ etc
You are discounting all the other players from the APAC (Asia Pacific) region. Having a US-WEST server caters to us too.
Actually there are some interserver activities, though it will be harder to manage with splitted servers.
Yet you can make a team on every server to play with others. I think low ping is really important for some builds, so more servers is a good solution. Making those builds less ping dependant is another one.
There are lots of MMO you can play with ping around 200-250 without any probems.
There will be some servers anyway, I doubt 1 server can handle more then 20k.
West server is also a good idea just as every regional server, if there will be enough community to fill it. I think even half populated server is a good enough to exist.
The problem is, how to get the most people satisfied with the least amount of money.
honestly, I believe most of the playerbase will be from America. Thatâs what its always been in mmos thats been released in america.

I assume itâs no more then 40% players from America, while Europe definitely has at least 15%. So 1 EU for every 3 American server is probably a nice idea.
Maybe Iâm wrong about numbera but what I mean, itâs not like 9 out of 10 players are american.
its fun to see people complaining about getting 100 ms. 100 is like a dream for brazilian and australians.
And brazilians and austs are the majority of playerbase until IMC open the brazilian/aust servers.
Flooding the game with servers is not a good decision. This game will not have sufficient playerbase to maintain 2~3 international servers. After the early release hype the playerbase will start to bleed fast, since the game has no significant end game and brazilian server will open soon ( Brazilians are like 30% of player base mininum atm ).

Itâs just that small difference between being the best at 1v1 and mediocre at it. Then again, the best 1v1 classes are ones that donât need much ping. But no one knows that

Lucky for me, I am crafted and molded to endure this kind gaming issues.
I play Dota 2 and Vainglory with 200+ ping. Both games are very competitive unlike to this(iTOS), just playing to fill my nostalgic needs.
I just want to enjoy my last MMORPG.
Hey, my friend from Asia!! They got 100-150 ping and they protesting now.
While We got 300-500 ping. and no-one even mad , should we start doing it too? protesting thingy?

The reason it is on East coast is because they made a decision to service Europe region better vs SEA; as SEA players will be able to access their Indonesian server. While there is no EU server.
If server moved to Central / West coast, EU players will rage just as hard. And EU players donât have an EU server to fall back on.
All steam servers are in the USA (I read from another thread). East coast server is the best compromise IMO.
For single server yes but if they give EU their own server (possibly) then it makes more sense to move the servers to US west unless they are giving SEA servers also in which case central is best.

I think itâs absolutely hillarious how people white knight against people who wants servers with less ping.
First of all, if it does not affect you, why do you care? Half of you act like you donât want to play with the âungrateful people who wants servers with less ping when itâs absolutely fine to play with 200+ pingâ.
If youâre scared people will quit the game and servers will die, then youâre worrying that the game isnât good enough in the first place, which is a completely different problem, and that is up to IMC to solve.
With the EU example, if youâre not from EU, itâs really none of your business if we get a server or not, so drop out of it, thanks.
The potential playerbase for ToS is fairly big. Itâs not going to be in the millions, but if IMC plays their cards right, they should have a playerbase to keep several servers busy and North America is huge, if the playerbase can support it, why not open a west coast server? The countries/regions without their own server arenât region locked to anything anyways, so just play wherever you want, and let others play where they want.
They just need to open a west coast server and almost everyone will be happy.
East Coast - US East + EU
West Coast - US West + SEA/AU/NZ

and no one cares, theres actually tons of â#eurotosâ replies on it. We just let it be.
When someone asks for a West coast/Central server thread for everyone to have at least a fair amount of ping then lots of people goes hostile against it.
Iâm just abit sad the community always forgets about the asia pacific region.
Asked my EU friends to ping 54.88.25.242 and they got 80-150 ping, What I would do to get that much. meanwhile us who really has 300+ ping just get shafted 
Its funny when some mention that we dont need a west coast server because it splits the community, then someone suggests going to the Gemscool server lol what hypocrisy! Gemscool is also notorious for their games being filled with cheaters and not doing anything about it, as well as closing games after milking their playerbase after a few years.
Also where is people getting the statistics that this game has a low playerbase? I keep seeing that being thrown around. Are you from the future? are you basing it from KR? Betas? because everywhere I look this game is being talked about alot.
TL;DR
Just let the people who want to try for a west/central server alone, they dont really need to hear your BS.

im sure IMC has statistics on where are their largest player base areâŚtheir problem is how spend the least amount of money to cater to those players.

Is not enough that your region has the lowest ping in an international release that you already want EVEN LOWER ping than that. They canât even accomodate Europe/SA/SEA yet. Iâd kill for 100 ping.
I havenât seen as many demands in an mmo community. And Iâve been in WoWâs.
PS: This is not Counter Strike, this game is not competitive whatsofuckingever.
