I cant use taoist skill to grind only for bossing specifically otherwise il be costing myself 1m a day lol
GM Mango just came on on Telsiai server and asked if we have any problem and some people included me after lol shouted about talisman price and weight and GM Mango replied she will forward the taoist issue to the team

I’m fine with reagents IF they’re dirt cheap–like, 100 silver max kind of cheap. Ok so Ragnarok also imposes reagents on High Priests etc but even those are craftable (?) 500-1000 silver per pop is seriously expensive yo.

Many classes have costs on skills, Taoist is acutaly one of the few that can actualy get huge numbers for those costs.
The game really need to rethink about some classes but Taoist seems ok to me, maybe only the Zaibas booster should be 2~3 amulets

Silver is a big thing in this game.
Attributing spells cost 50~300 million silvers (R8 skills).
Weapons is another place where, if you want to go DPS, you will end up spending more than 50 million to stay relevant at level 315+
Compared to that, talismans are not that costly, the difference is your money goes away gradualy, not whenever you’re up to improving your damage.
Over Powered classes/skills need CD/price balancing. Taoists are WB/Boss killers mostly, that is stuff only people really seeking money go for. Cleric has VERY GOOD R8 options (with 0 silvers spent in skill casts), I also have a level 234 PD so I’m not just spouting nonsense, I’m simply saying that if Storm Calling had no price (or some Ice Rune/PoA cooldown) it WOULD be too OP.
Tip: If you are going to do only 1 character in this game, you are most likely going to quit. Any player that is not casual or buy lots of Token to sell for silvers will end up feeling sad when they start seeing you NEED to farm silvers to keep playing this game on high-end content.
So, I’d advise you to do either Necro (afk farm), Warlock (crowded map farm) or Scout 3 (dungeon farm) as your “only” character, Clerics are not that good at farming and need to buy lots of gears/attributes to deal damage (very cheap on a full support route though).
The money sinks in this game are unreal… I’m not complaining if the gains can keep up but wow… I don’t know how bots are gonna keep up by rank 10+ in terms of costs and damage.
Can’t really imagine how would I cope with the material cost and weight problems when my other cleric reaches R8.
C2>Diev3>Priest1>Miko1>Taoist…

Also second the cost and weight of Inquisitor’s Wheel to be readjusted. My main cleric is already carrying a lot of wood being a dievdirby c3, having a 25weight wheel is killing me especially when I’m playing an INT build.
Not gonna argue about the Dark storm cost because at least that’s debatable.
But creeping death charm cost is just retarded 1,5k per cast and 3 overheats on a subpar skill is just completely insane.
It’s rune of justice all over again and it’s not only about money, it’s bad game design you create a skill that nobody uses because the cost/power ratio is unbalanced.
As a player with a lot of silver to spare it’s a good thing that the devs are looking into the charm costs.
The problem is we barely know how they will scale into the future, Frost Cloud for example is useless right now if you don’t have a T6+ weapon.
Those are Rank 8 skills, C1 class, they may get attributes, lots of things may change, they can even have superb hidden scaling.
But yes, as it is, Taoist looks like the Cleric’s version of Ice Wall + PP, because this skill is too good and the others are not worth the cost, maybe they should lower the costs but isn’t all the scaling growing way harder right now?
Also apparently you can get 500k silver per person on a 5-man full run on level 290 dungeon. Maybe money will be coming easier for high-end players.
