1% SP /3 seconds means it takes 5 minutes if a sorc doesn’t do anything else for the sp to drain. for those that don’t want to do math.
100% is 300 seconds. 300 divided by 60 seconds in a minute = 5 minutes to full drain at that rate.
afking with a pet attacking was never bannable, it was the auto attacking that was bannable as well as botting
afk with pet:

you are not pressing any keys at all

you are taking damage while afk

pet is dealing damage to monsters
afk with autoattack:

you are using a macro on mouse or keyboard to repeat keystrokes indefinately, ex: kneeling shot while doing 360 spins shooting everything around you

you are dealing damage to the monsters, gaining exp, and some of the drops
afk with bottting:

you are attacking everything within proximity, gaining exp, drops, etc

you are teleporting through walls to reach different areas of the map

this is done repeatively for many days
You know they are talking about eating pot automatically and that is forbidden, right?

Basically, it measures how much your reports matter as compared to other players’ reports.

The only best way is to ask and wait for them to reply
This is perfectly legitimate gameplay. If a change is even being contemplated, it won’t be actively banning these players, but changing to AI / reduce XP for reduced action etc.
But I don’t see that happening. So timer and pot away~
