Been on a massively long(2year) slump…nothing but unfinished work…
Alchemist and wiz? 2222
its IMC is lazy in korean b/c they clearly cant read english
People are shaking their head at you b/c you are exhibiting the classic ToS sheep behavior, IMC shi*s on you and you get distracted with my comment on fan art. You skip right over the NO BUG FIXES and go to the random last remark.
Most of my first reply was about how i wish they would fix GvG.
I just had one smal comment to you about the fan art contests.
You might want to work on your selective reading issues.
Lmfao!!
Will there be a day when this guy isn’t salty.
Sure, when IMC gives 2 shi*s about the actual game and fixes the same issues weve been dealing with since April before adding more TP fluff I will be non-salty.
That awkward moment when there’s no scrolling required for patch notes.
Another week, another crap notes.
It’s almost like this is the wrong consistency for the game to have, but clearly there are no bugs that could be solved or anything.
Don’t worry everyone, this is all the signs of a “good game” and not simply good ideas. That’s why everyone invites their friends to play IToS, look at the player increase we are obviously getting. Nothing to fear, all is well.
It means IMC is lazy in Korean.
can i hue?
coz i feels like this week, theres little hue-material…
kekekeke
enjoy your tos for another week~
hue~~~~
I don’t like telling people “Then quit lol” when they’re dissatisfied with a game, because quitting quietly isn’t going to help fix the games problems. But damn, I see you voicing complaints every week in this place-- I don’t see how you haven’t just uninstalled the game down to the last Byte yet since it seems like you’re legitimately frustrated with this company.
And the Fan Art thing is one of the few good results coming out of the current situation of empty patch notes. Doesn’t count as free advertising since some winners get TP and all the work is submitted under this domain. If they didn’t run events like this, more people would complain that Staff and Events are non-existent.
Then again, I can’t tell if you’re fed up or having fun when you throw in that sarcasm w/ pictures.
Yes. I believe someone like Staff John or one of them if not all are the same people who copy and paste code from where ever breaking stuff every time. They are literally hiring a programmer over on the Korean IMC website for Tree of Seabird since one never existed, got fired, or moved on to another game.
As someone who admires art part of me knows what they are saying is absolutely true like the person who wants free art for being a friend, but the other understands that you as an artist have freedom to do what ever you want. So nobody really has any right to say anything even if this company does take complete advantage of player’s good will.
They did it with early access founders and the translators giving them tons of time and money that they never gave back a decently playable server. Now they do it for the load screens because they don’t want to pay Maggi their artist or look bad with more “buy our TP” screens that were uploaded every patch.
Yes. I believe someone like Staff John or one of them if not all are the same people who copy and paste code from where ever breaking stuff every time.
This is not correct. GM are not the same as Devs.
I know that. But do you really think they have actual people there who know what they are doing patching our server? I’m pretty sure they force the staff to do it.
The real developers are working on mobile or what ever it is IMC is doing and not doing here.
I have been a GM before for a small private RO server. Even thought I had intimate knowledge of the game, I had little to no idea about coding and was unable to help out the Dev team even if I want to. I was only tasked with reported bugs to the Dev team and policing the player base. Even then I had to follow a protocol that was set worth by management (server owners). So when I see a bot, and I know it is a bot, I still had to go through this long system to ensure fairness.
Regarding patching MMOs, where there is a lot of bugs due to translation errors, you best hope that your dev team is more than just one person. I am NOT saying the GMs and Devs are perfect. I am saying they are not the core of the problem.
Imagine the following conversation at IMC:
GMs: We got xxx amount of bugs.
Coder: I can only handle 30% of it with the time the company gives me. I need more staff to manage all the work. When you COPY code over, there are bound to be translations bugs, and I need more people to look into the bugs and adjust the patches to iTOS.
Management: Hiring more ppl means more money if you can’t do it when we will fire you and just get someone who complains less. (aka. Git Gud)
Coder: Ok OK! Just tell don’t say anything to the players and pull the “we are a company card.”
GMs: Players will be pissed, we need more support, players are not stupid
Management: Then un-piss them, that is your job!
This snerio happened SO many times it is like a norm for Eastern-MMO companies.
Look you are absolutely right. I’m sorry for being wrong and clearly nistaken that the devs and coders must be so bad they can’t apply a proper patch or fix ever. IMC would never cut costs by having the staff copy and paste code. Not even going to argue with you since you are obviously missing my point about bad management where they had someone like yourself clueless fixing things here.
But you feel the need to defend them since you understand what it is like and I do too. If they had the right people or the proper management things would not be a problem. Your server owner managed things correctly by not having you do the programmers work. Because that is smart and what a proper leader or manager would do unlike Kim Hakkyu.
I think you and me, and pretty much most people here, are on the same page. We are angry and for good reasons. I very VERY much agree with the bad management. It is not about defending someone, but more like directing the rage towards the real criminals. If this is a GM/Dev problem, then, by all means, rage at them and see if we can get that specific employee fired. But this is much deeper than that.
Only thing is, I feel like ITOS management WANTS TO TRICK US INTO THINKING that is GMs and Dev team’s fault, while it is the management themselves that are fking over the players. You can see this in how GM are only permitted to post generic responses.
Just look at how the GMs talk with us, it always sound like they got a gun pointing at their heads. TBH, I feel like each [RESOLVED] response posted by GMs has a hidden [HELP…ME] undertone in there somewhere.
Only thing is, I feel like ITOS management MAKES it so players will blame the GMs and Dev team, like an illusion, while it is the management themselves that are fking over the players.
They are the team that bridges the playerbase with IMC, in other words the method of communication between the customer and the company. Whether it being unfair or not, addressing complaints to them is valid…though most of the time people are very immature.
