Oracles the new dead class?

I’m still pending but I guess I’ll build that Bokor3>Oracle3>Kabbalist3 anyway just to see if it’s worth the investment.
Bokor on its own is by far the strongest Cleric Class, and it’s good to see it at Rank 3 so it can be actually maxed before going Oracle.
Oracle on its own is meh but with the new Death Sentence, Twist of Fate and Double Chance Oracle can become the number one bosskiller.

The only thing that’s required is to let Death Sentence affect boss monsters.
If it doesn’t, Oracle C3 is total garbage.

Oh, and they need to scrap that halved damage against boss monsters by Twist of Fate.

I mean why? No other skill has halved damage against boss monsters and they already created monsters like Shinobi Murmillio with Bunshin no Jutsu that can burst down any stupid normal boss in mere seconds…

Meant to say buffs but I was thinking so much about the oracle changes that nerf came out.

Wait doesn’t death sentence increase damage dealt to enemies for 15 seconds and not a DOT? could be useful for dps builds but if it can’t be used on bosses or with pandemic might not be worth it.

oracles could have had potential but now put down by the past nerfs. now they kinda shuffled things around. they didnt buff or nerf in the end cuz everything evened out.
oracle is PVP. its stupid to think otherwise.

arcane is trash, will still be trash.

change, clair, reset, gender, forecast is w/e.

counterspell is so awkward and bad. it feels like a one-use counter to huge CC spells with a 1min 30 sec CD. except that every other wizard has 5 spells to oracle’s 1 counterspell and that once used it won’t stop any more magic circles. its going to get a buff, but i wish it could be used while cc’d…

prophecy is meh w/e.

DS wasnt doing anything in PVP anyway. it depends on if the debuff is lvl 1 or 2 or 3. DS can easily be cured and its hard to land. the slow attribute is still there so you can debuff all 3 opponents and they would have some difficulty removing all of it.

foretell is going to get a huge buff.

twist of fate doesnt need to do anything to boss, its perfectly strong as it is. really fun to use and the highlight of oracle PVP.

the one thing bugs me is that oracles always has some penalty to do the things they do. like why does twist of fate have to have such a harsh penalty? why does the new DS have to have a dmg penalty? why did oracle skills have to have such a high CD penalty?? its not as if its a kino that can deal CC to another, but counterspell that stops CC. it doesn’t give u any advantages, but merely stop you from dying. then why does kino cc spells have LESS CD PENALTY than counterspell?

its not as if oracle can PVE…so why cant they be the best PVPer? if you take that away from oracles they just become a class no one wants to play.

I’m still in favor of making that “Call of Deities” skill a thing that summons a bunch of random mobs as your minions. After all, Augury e.g. was a form of divination, so why not making it in reverse to call upon the beasts to result in the desired “divination”?

Could be a C2 skill together with Death Sentence (which is currently the only Circle 2 skill of Oracle);
if they need the space to make the skill, they could just delete Arcane Energy and put its effects on either Forecast or Prophecy as an attribute [or delete Prophecy and make it an Arcane Energy attribute instead of that useless damage attribute].

It would also fit the general theme of Oracle the most that comes up with random effects & counters in the most unique ways. A mob of random monsters that suddenly comes to your aid surely fits this the most.

The nullifying chance is increased from like 40% to 100% and the duration now scales with skilllevel (something like 2,5 or 3 seconds per skilllevel, so the maximum duration now is longer than before[previously 15 seconds fixed, now with monster gem, if there is any,+ Divine Might you get up to 20 seconds; if Houki/Henge Stone works, more is possible]). The CD time was increased,too though, so the “buff” is only the 100% nullification rate.

We might also be in for a “run,Forest,run”, if the movement speed reduction attribute of Foretell isn’t working as well as the one of Merkabah, because of the 50 movement speed starting speed…

they should make it so foretell is a circle around the oracle that follows them

i feel like the movement is perfect for PVP actually. it lets me quite safely move towards the middle of the map where i can plant diev statues for my team where it is relevant.

oracle3 is fun for sure, but it’s highly dependent on if the team can put an opponent below 40%

How to make Oracle skill based: ( This hero is OP in a good player hands). If you read this skill set and you find it bad, i dont know what to say.

Isn’t that basically just weaker than TOS’s Oracle? xD

Too bad that the real target of TOS is PVE and not PVP, PVP-related content should be limited to skill alterations via attributes (e.g. PDs Disenchant) and PVP-balance changes that apply only inside PVP.

It’s sad for PVE,though, if you have to actually run so fast, because it limits Oracle to few mobile builds that can deal damage on the run (Pala/Monk/Inqui, Bokors Effigy/Krivis’ Divine Stigma are the only good examples that fit the range; Taoists Creeping Death Charm is too slow and has not enough hits at C1 for viable damage).

Let’s see how useful the attribute is.

A severely depressed oracle c3 here… it’s like they are buffing, but add other drawbacks… so it kinda “evens out” (?)

I hope they will addback Call of Deity as a c2/c3 skill.

Arcane Energy is still as useless as ever. I dont really understand what they really changed in this skill. It already wont reset our current SP value when we change maps.
Prophecy, being a rank1 debuff only, already losses to PD’s bloodletting, and now uptime is horrible… just F.

Change to Foretell is deserving and long overdue. I’m surprised why they did a 40-50% chance in the 1st place… like, who wants to stand there just for a chance??

Counterspell’s uptime is also reduced from 1/3 to 1/6… just great… NOT.

im actually a bit uncertain of counterspell’s mechanics. i think it can stop all debuffs while its on, and all circles right after use. i dont think it can stop magic circles after use. the new change is 10 seconds of stopping all magic circles and debuffs with a 60 sec cd.

imo its a better change because you wont use the entire duration of counterspell anyway. and while its on, it stops everything. and it has a shorter cd.

i wish it had a shorter CD though. kino has a 35 second magnetic force, 30 sec telekinesis, and an unstoppable raise. if you add in freeze from frost cloud thats more cc than one counterspell can hope to stop. its not as if counterspell can CC any enemy within its range…

Well let’s hope that they read the feedback here or koreans have similar feelings about oracle changes so they will do some further changes based on feedback. This update is not in any version yet so they truly might change something about it.

I guess you could say that they blew the Oracles instead?

You mean the same SR that have literally no useful skills outside of Limacon (and MAYBE Retreat Shot)?

Because Marching Fire is the worst C3 skill of the Rank 6.

No I’m sure they’ve gotten more than just IMCand jobs. They got the IMClowjobs.

Gender Change is even worse…
The only use ingame the skill provides is to do the genderlocked Miko quest with a male character.
GG, 999/1000 don’t need the skill.

as the game goes on r6 classes especially (since c3 overlaps r8) are just going to be meh…
