Actually, there is! So sad I didn’t take a screenshot, but there is this “Grim Reaper” mob that is supposed to be some sort of anti bot mechanism. I’ve only seen it once, but it does exist. Not sure what the spawning conditions are, however. It usually wreaks havoc, killing everything in sight and then silently disappears. You can kill it with a few people, but it doesn’t drop anything.
Predictions for General iTOS:
- Random Crashes because of particle effects
- TBL crash abuse
- GvG crash abuse
- Bosses stuck
- Loading Errors
- RIP Cutscene = RIP Character
Predictions for Fedimian:
- Broken Dungeons
- Broken Queue
- Ninja Channel Nerf
You’re wrong. I think it’s 10% chance that it goes down without a hitch, and 20% chance nothing changes.
SA:
Grinding maps: 6~8 channels
Normal/quest maps: 2 or 3 channels.
I was actually upset just thinking about this.
And then remembered that no one even does quests anymore.
Resource system will improve overall loading times / reduce spikes - but they will still exist.
Just make your expectations low and you’ll see some improvments.
I hope it will be faster with my HD 4000 iGPU
With this APU/iGPU you’ll be most likely to not see much of a improvment.
Most of the FPS gain will come from additional threads on CPU that offload more work to the GPU. With that crappy intel HD graphics, it will not benefit from more data going for It, since probably it is already at 100% or near it with just a single thread.
However, for ones that has good GPUs that, even at heavy load, remained bellow 50% GPU usage, will receive a improvment, but how much, we all don’t know, since it is IMC, it can be 7%.
Its that time of the week again, time to ask what will IMC break tomorrow. Will the game be 7% more broken?
srsly of all things they wanna reduce the channels?
instead they should have done the opposite, thnx god i finishing the miko quest, good luck to those that are still on it lol.

coz we gonna edit patch numbers again

I’m very thankful I didn’t take interest in Miko quest. I don’t have cleric in the first place, so I forego it completely. Otherwise, I’m very interested in seeing how the optimization works out.
I wonder if it will solve the VGA issues and if it’ll make ET/Solmiki grind more bearable. We basically toss a run every other day due to issues in there. If not disconnecting and crashing, bugs with mobs.
Alemeth has like… 7 channels sometimes while Forest of Prayer is actually constant at 3 channels. Forest of Prayer is actually like a mini town and there’s decent-named bots here for reasons i don’t know
Considering how every single Sorc bug I reported several months ago still isn’t fixed or even bandaided…
oh… u will get your turn, in due time.
meanwhile, gotta keep the game afloat
have you buy another tp recently?
those bug aint gonna fix themselves if the dev aint getting enough pay
its a vicious cycle

Coffee boy hype. Also I am interested in seeing how well this optimization will work. GGG tried all this stuff before in PoE. The main problem is not using dx11 with the proper utilization of gfx cards. This is a baby step though towards the right direction.
It spawns for a specific player not for any group. Happens to me in constructors chapel all the time in my Diev. Dina new is just slow enough that the spawns won’t trigger the reaper.
Oh, you might have misunderstood what I was saying. My english isn’t exactly “the yellow from the egg” if you know what I mean.
What I meant is that you can group up with others to kill it (or kill it alone if you are up for that), but it won’t drop anything! I think it’s pretty natural that it spawns because of one specific player, if it’s an anti-bot mechanic, heh.
