Well, that’s the real meaning of when someone quits but won’t actually “quit” by giving their gear and belongings away. They’re just going into a haitus usually, and will return to jump back into their stuff when things stabilize.
But that’s not to say it’s “good” that this is happening. But it’s to be expected sadly, and the only thing you can do is play for you while things proceed.
