I have not checked the sites myself, some people only wrote, they get Korean accounts for various games there. If you are interested, you may google for some more opinions.

I don’t think so as you need a Korean Social Security number. Somehow the sellers obtain it, probably generate illegally…

However, to pursue my adventure, I asked one of my friend living in Korea for help on verifying my accounts ownership.
He agreed to it, and I was extremely happy that creating a Nexon Korea account would soon come to a close.
Oh boy I was wrong…
I thought the process was… DING(text notification noise. =]) MSG: “Here is your verification number XXXXXX. Please enter it to complete registration.”
Apparently now, at least Nexon Korea is concerned, they even check the registrar’s Name and Birth date that was registered onto the Cellphone account to see if it is a valid match with the information provided while creating the Korean Nexon Account.

I guess buying an ID is easiest but I wonder if there will be IP check to restrict players to Korea only.

I doubt it since it’s not the game creator who wants to limit the number of players but the government which imposes such rules Too much of a hassle to try to do it yourself, I have yet to hear of someone from US/Europe who managed to get a Korean account easily and free of charge.

Just wait until iOBT. If you get into kOBT you’ll be playing with crappy ping, and will get a bit more tired of the game. Not to mention you’ll have to start over once the international version is released.
