News of Savior - Episode 5 ~ Halloween edition!

Time is the most valuable thing we have, we can’t get it back if we waste it.

Exactly my point.

:stuck_out_tongue:
Now I won’t stop making videos because I like making them.
It would be nice to have some support tho. So that all the hours of work I put into each video are AT THE VERY ■■■■■■■ LEAST worth it.

youtube started as free and non-ads

I’m not saying professional content should be free

I’m just saying you choose to go the amateurs path and now complaining the world is being cold-hearted ?

if anything, I rather pay steparu than some random yama, u get what I mean?

creative content always a shitty market…

look at nicky minaj versus veteran-classical-musician

You do know all those big guys started from where I’m at right?

You do know that no big channel would ever lay hands on this game right?
Haukin, please stop being such a tool. I don’t hate you but you’re making really hard for me to even respect your opinions.

I block ads on my phone too, because i aren’t wasting data and battery for them. Also I don’t care if youtube shuts down or something because it’s a liberal propaganda platform nowadays.

And oh yeah, Youtube Red is a failure.

Awful idea, i hope they fire who ever thought of that.

u can have your opinion on me, and you are also true that people should be more supportive to youtube/amateurs/hobbyist etc

yes, world should be a beautiful place, all religion peaceful etc etc

sorry, so far i only been telling truth and facts

I also like unicorn, I also believe in santa, I also like my grandma best when she said I’m the most handsome guy in the world (this part is true, though only in my grandma’s world~ I love my grandma~)

alternatively, if u gain enough popularity and content, u could start charging pay-per–view etc like netflix

I never said you shouldn’t use AdBlock. And in fact I agree with you with the Mobile thing. If it consumes more data means you’ll pay more thus it’s OK.

I wouldn’t say YT is a liberal propaganda platform. That’s a very weak argument towards your point. I follow and support many alt-right channels and they are good. If you think it’s OK for people to prevent content creators on YouTube to get payed a little bit for the efforts put into their videos you are being a hypocrite saying that YT is a platform for liberal propaganda. If that’s true it’s only because people like you guys are saying “■■■■ it. I want all my content for free forever and ■■■■ you all that put effort and time to make this content”.

No you are being an entitled spoiled brat that thinks that if someone is not huge and famous than they are not allowed to make a living out of their hard work, and takes everything for granted.

You are not being logical nor are you being factual.

Earnings generally reflect reputation and skill. As you mentioned the huge and famous people make a fair bit. But to get to that point you have to grind through the ■■■■ phase. Its like that in a lot of fields. I did a lot of long shitty shifts as a construction worker before i got to being a engineer. Your in that grinder phase right now, just the way life is.

I’m not saying you guys/hobbyist/amateur don’t deserve getting paid, but you cant blame the internet(people) just coz they don’t willing to pay u(whitelist youtube/disable adblock)

you don’t see street performer angry at people who don’t give tip

street performer are happy enough to have passer-by to stop and enjoy their performance

u should be glad if people do view ur video at all

They honestly don’t though.
The big youtubers should be making a lot more money than they make. They should be making at least 60% more because usually that’s how many people watch them with AdBlock on. It ranges from 60%~80% deprived from them because of that.

For bigger channels that’s not that much of a big deal since they have a larger audience that can balance things out a bit. At least enough to still allow them to take a bit of income.

This hurts smaller youtube channels waaaaaay more. Making it even harder to grow a youtube channel if you’re not already an entitled spoiled child playing minecraft.

I’ll be glad if you spontaneously burst into flames, doesn’t mean it’ll happen or that it’d be good for everyone.

And street performers do have an income. And it’s an income they don’t have to cut it into shares with big companies. Just to let you know… YouTube is not losing money off of this deal. Only content creators. When a company pays YouTube to display their ads, YouTube will collect their full 32% right of the bat they don’t care if the content creators are not being payed their share for displaying the ads on their videos.

I’m glad that people watch my videos, yes, it’s cool and I’m happy that people are having fun. I’m not saying I want to get tons of money off of YouTube right now. But growing the channel also costs money in work hours. I know it’ll take some time for the channel to get traction. Just don’t bring half assed arguments about why it’s OK for you to deprive people off the little they’d make, hobby or not.

Most of those youtubers have patreons and get their funds that way, and people support them if they like their content enough.

There are also some who get their income from twitch and then put their streams on youtube after.

Most of them don’t depend on youtube for income, just to increase accessibility.

And you know why they don’t anymore? Because people use AdBlock.
Most of the big YouTubers already made a lot from ads back when AdBlock didn’t exist. They had enough to grow their companies into something they can make a patreon and so on and so forth.

Yea a lot of them also made their money using click bait, and from my understanding there was changes to prevent that now. Which means that have to put up quality.

But seriously you would have better luck trying to summon Satan than convincing people to turn off ad block. The internet is so full of garbage now that people don’t want to see more than they have to.

its not okay, but its a thing everyone does

its not okay to smoke cigarettes, but people still do

its not okay to make personal gain, but political-figure still corrupted anyway

a lot of things are not okay, but its still on going

I’m not saying, “hey, since everyone is doing it, so could that mean its okay for me to do it as well?”

I’m just saying, the world is not as ideal as you thought…

not anytime soon, maybe when year3016, people would really be doing what beneficial to everyone

until then, in current times, you just gotta learn the rules, then break it.

Oh I forgot to mention another major reason for universal ad blocking: to reduce the amount of tracking these companies do on every user.

Sure. So let’s not discuss about things because the world is not perfect. I got your point Haukin. Bye now, godspeed.

lel. Conspiracy theorist detected. We better get them tin foil hats on they might be tracking our thoughts as we speak.

Just to let you know, with or without adblock, you can still track a consumer’s taste.

Its not a conspiracy. Do a fresh install and go to say world of warcraft site. All your adds will become warcraft/blizzard related. Or go to ebay and look up magic cards, your adds will be ebay magic sales.

Your ads are assigned by tracking you. You just don’t notice it unless its a fresh install because the ads are already the ones your used to seeing.

Sigh…

I know how ads work and I am telling you, it’s possible to track what consumers like with or without adblock.

Adblock may prevent some ads from working properly but you won’t be seeing them anyways. I use adblock too and I know what I’m talking about, difference being that I white listed sites like YouTube and $chan because I want to support them.

Yes it is.

I thought you were saying ads were not tracked in general, my bad.
