No, I mean, the whole post, it wasn’t necessary. Life is not the same in every region, there is currency.
Why is this post directed to me? i was never arguing against regional pricing i was just discussing wages and living costs in areas.
I play on SEA server and they speak English all the time…
I’ve heard there are many who only speak Tagalog. Maybe you play in different timezones?
Sorry I was kinda replying to the minimum wage part and I guess I hit reply to you instead of the whole post in general my bad about that @thebloodyaugust
Let all muricans come to the SA server, pay for our TP bundles that are “cheaper” than other servers, play while they can, the ping is ok now because the physical server is on NA while they take care of some problems with the one in Brazil.
But please, do not come crying when the physical server goes back to São Paulo and your ping go to the 300ish.
Ah no problem just confused me.
Yup, NA whales going to supply your market with cheap tokens. That pretty much sums it.
this is just an argument in favor of higher prices
higher prices for a high-end place, let’s call it like that, it could be more expensive yes, ofc, same here and in every part of the world, u’re talking about “average” prices, wich will be higher that average prices in a SA country
20 conto por um token, tá mais caro que WoW ainda, teria de ser mais barato.
I think the prices are okay. I’m from NA and play in Orsha.
I understand the difference in Economy, such as, an example:
My cousin and I work for the same company, Convergys, a call center.
In Texas, I get paid $9.25 per hour as much as 30 hours per week, as a part-timer while being a college student. That gives me about $1,100 per month, that’s without taxes and without bonuses and all the incentives that I receive.
In the Philippines (SEA), my cousin gets paid about 18,000 PHP (rounded up from 17,800+) monthly as a full timer, at the same time being a college student also.
Now convert her monthly salary of 18,000 Philippine Pesos into US Dollars (via google or an app), will give her about 384.56 US Dollars (as of 5/30/2016 conversion rates).
Now, even though I understand and accept the difference in pricing, what I don’t accept is that NA/EU players taking advantage of the lower priced bundles on SA/SEA regions. That will ultimately give them ideas of moving to their servers and pretty much has the potential to “pay-to-win” among these servers.
Since both my real life and online friends are in Orsha, I will be staying in that server.
No, because when you get down to number it takes a lot of more effort for people on other countries to make the that amount;
Example lest say it cost 10 dollar for everybody to buy 100TP
NA $7 an hour: 2 hour work = $14
SEA $.70 an hour: 2 hour work = $1.40
Do you think it would be fair for SEA players to have to pay $10 for the 100TP?
I really hope this over the top exaggeration makes people understand why prices differ so much from each other.
Sure OP, try making a living here in COL and trying to afford the packs at the same time.
I usually play at night. Well, this is based on shouts I’ve seen and random parties I joined. Maybe not all the time haha, but most of the time. I’m pretty sure the players here can use English (broken or not) because SEA comprised of many countries with many different languages. So, we still need English to communicate to each other.

I don’t really need a friend from a poor SEA country to tell me so, because I was from there.
I’m an Asian who came from a 3rd world country to America and climbed my way up here as I am right now.
I paid for a single thing I wanted by working hard for it, sure it was hard but I did it.
I remembered when ragnarok online was released in our country, monthly payment was $3 and I had to work for small stuff to get that $3 to play. I’ve experienced it, so I know
The long post about money was for those people who call American cavemen. I’m totally ok with the regional price, cuz it doesn’t effect me one bit.
The American can earn higher salary compared to 3rd world countries, that means they have to pay higher as well.
As I say, this is for those people who live in caves, talking about people who live in other caves, and they aren’t worse or better than us, the American.
You should know that Silute has temporarily changed locations back to NA for some DDoS issues. Once it’s back on Brazil, expect a much higher ping.
Im sure it will be back in SA “soon”.

I don’t think the price in Euro for 100 TP is too high (sth between 5 and 7 Euros would’ve been better but who cares).
But, I have sth against this kind of insane regional pricing with wrong assumptions about the player base. Ok, so the players on the SEA and SA servers pay only 60% of what players on the EU and in NA servers pay for the same things.

It is highly unfair to charge different prices for the same service ( i.e. adding 100 TP to your ingame account). It is not about how much a human worker earns over here or over there. It’s the same publisher and the same game client, just a different server.

You guys compare low income jobs and their economic power in different countries, but you seem to forget that poor people from 3rd world countries in SEA and SA simply can’t afford to play MMORPGs, they barely survive through agriculture and odd jobs. The people who play MMORPGs from those respective regions are people who have a decent amount of money and free time, they ain’t no poor beggars or rice peasants.
Meanwhile, although the living standard[i.e. you pay for everything and get poisoned, tricked and robbed as a thanks for it] in Europe and NA is quite “high” in general, the most people who play MMORPGs in those respective regions are “poor”, meaning they have low till no income (students [hs&uni], odd jobbers, jobless people e.g.). Still, because of massive social pressure through high rent, utility bills, taxes, it’s hard to get by and yet we are called rich.
Come on people from SA and SEA, try topping having to spend 70% of your wages for rent alone, another 15% for health insurance and 30% for utility costs. Not to forget at least 30% for food. And yeah, it adds up to over 100%, it’s called parental support, because you can’t live on a 8,50 Euro job during your student days here in Germany.
Still thinking it’s fair to charge one more than the other for the exact same electronic transaction? Remember, we are not paying for access but ± converting our money into a virtual currency. I could understand that if we were paying for access, the prices would be different, but getting less TP just because I charge on a certain server has no justification if I get no real benefits from playing there(FPS dops [<20] =~ Ping lag). This will also have a huge impact on the Token prices, they will explode on the EU and NA servers and decline on the SA and SEA servers…
