Multiple AFK Merchant Classes

Sage2 is becoming a merchant class, and the benefits for owning a merchant class for self use is increasing.
Currently the game only allows one merchant class to be opened for afk.

Should IMC revamp this and increase the limit to 2 or 3?

How will it impact the game economy?

Maybe they should make it for every X toons. So like, you can have one shop for every 4 or 5 toons (4 being the original number of open slots you have).
I can understand why they want to restrict it a bit, but when you have 30 characters (or more eventually), you tend to have more characters that can open shops, and it’s a bother if you can only choose one or have to make multiple accounts to have more than two open at once.

Can’t decide wether yes or no, I think people should be rewarded for spending time and effort on bringing up a merchant class and allowing more than one to be logged will end up in more competition for everyone. On the other hand the leveling in this game has been made so poop-easy that it’s a matter of hours to make a new merchant class…

The only negative consequence i can immagine is a klaipeda ch1 completely covered by shop. Just this because many merchant classe have really low prices and a little more income could be appreciated

I have to say no to this one.
Although I would like to open multiple shops(I own 2 pardoners, a squire and soon a taxi sage) my problem would be that the server has to accommodate those shops. I come from Klai and in the main town it already crashes a fair amount of times in the day from the coming and going of players / afk shops.

on a side note, although there usefulness, to me having more shops around town hinders the aesthetic and usability of the town. -im looking at you people literally setting up shop on top of npcs/warp statues/marketplace- :tired:

Actually IMC can easily fix this by disallowing people to set up shops near NPC ( statues/inetractives)

If you ever tried opening goddess statue near an NPC you would be prompt with a message disallowing that because its too near to an NPC

I like seeing so many different people’s shops in town. It just feels better to me aesthetically.
…Even though I’d love to give my appraiser, alchemist, enchanter, and terrible squire more of a purpose… :tired:

If they decided to make/revamp Orsha and Fedimian into towns you’d actually want to visit instead of mostly ignore, this would be a really welcome change though.
Especially since there aren’t that many players playing to spread between 3 towns imo(atleast in Klaipeda server).

A limit on player made shops per map could prolly solve that

i vote no because this is a good way to encourage multiple accounts and boost the false population numbers.

People actually make multiple accounts to open multiple shops. Wouldn’t opening multiple shops under a single Team name resolve that?

Klai will be full of shops if there ‘s no limit, it will be a mess. AND ppl will take ages to reput them when a d*mbazz will crash the channel :’) So, One shop/acc is perfect.

Yeah the frequent crash makes it really frustrating…
