Yeah i always envisioned a monk to have knuckle weapons and to have armor that was basically covered in blades.
Definitely this. I’m always looking for the pure martial arts class with both punches and kicks that uses knuckles. FFXIV Monks are badass, and I feel like with a game like this it would be even better. Monks who only punch aren’t really monk-like, monks who only use a mace and shield aren’t monk-like either, I feel like it should be a dedicated hand to hand + spiritual class.
As for Assassin, come on! Shinobi will be great but it’s a very far eastern thing, which I’m into, but Assassins come in all flavors, not just cloak and dagger or ninja type.
But there are a lots of different classes that u can combine. They might have those assassin like a skill sets. Yeah its actually weird that Tos have zero middle eastern jobs. I know its based on lithu mythology but there are asian classes too. I really hope we get desert area in future.
Yah! I mean a world is not complete if it doesn’t have all kinds of environments and cultures. Deserts are as natural as lush wilderness and people always end up living in or near the deserts.

Thats make game even better. Norse Mythology does not have desert but they added morroco in Ro1 xD.

An assassin class would be cool. If they can’t make sense of an assassin guild, then make it a secret class, and have it be a secret society or something.
I only accept Assassin class if they make it something new. We dont need another typical Mmo assassin. Corsair is good replacement.
Their decision of not having knuckles is probably because skills are tied to weapons in tree of savior. Monk is a class that comes from the cleric , all of the cleric skills require a mace.
It wasn’t their inital intention to add a switch weapon feature, but now since we have one It should be fine to have knuckles for monks.
Knuckles could deal blunt damage, the same as maces and have the same stats as maces, so it would all be balanced.
There is also the issue of the basic attack animation. Each weapon has its own basic attack animation , monk being the only one to use knuckles means they’d have to create an animation just for them.
My opinion still stands that a monk should have knuckles instead of a mace and shield lol or give them a stick but not a mace and a shield cmon.
Maybe I can be wrong but I never seen in life nor in games that monks wields a shield and mace,Perhaps this will be the first game ever and I just have to deal with it and get use to it.
in videogames generally, priest used mace and shield, the monks use their FISTS
Not the same stats as mace’s, hopefully higher attack/survivability while maces would have better willpower scaling.
According to my friend who participate in beta2 monk has subpar damage where a normal atk from a barbarian can exceed the damage done by the monk. I think they should at least buff monk’s skill damage.
In reference to RO, a DD Assassin is basically the same thing as a Corsair, its just under the swordy tree!
Maybe Plague Doctor is somewhat a vampire class, or maybe there is one for Archer? If not, I wish Krivis can have a party buff for vampire effect to recover HP (and or SP in attribute).
As for Monk, maybe Lama would be the upgrade of it.
