lol you CAN play it internationally adequately… lots of people in EU have under 200 ping. If they name it NA release, it would suggest it’s NA only. so they should just block off EU IPs as well even when they dont have to? bottom line is - IMC is a company. All companies maximize their profit. If there’s profit to be made in EU, there will be a supply.
Also if a lot of EU people just buy the Founders it also means they might interpret that EU people don’t need an EU server, as people are fine with playing in NA. Dingus.
If the server reaches capacity, then they will need to host more. When they decide where to host the server, a sizable EU population will demand it to be held in Europe.

iCBT2 had about 10k people according to the polls at the end and we needed MULTIPLE SERVERS to accommodate and it STILL LAGGED like hell on every server, ESPECIALLY if you were from Europe or outside of USA.
If the sales are as great as some people seem to think there is no way 1 server is going to cut it at all. Even BR’s are buying the Steam package.
The game opens up to the public free to players in April, that’s when servers get flooded close to capacity. I’m not paying right now so I have to wait until April for a EU server.
If they announce EU servers tomorrow, the sales will go up drastically. EU is one of the biggest communities out there and one of the wealthiest.
How much would an oceanic server cost?

Well it’s bad because EU players won’t show up on IMC’s list of players which just kills the reason for them to make an EU server, isn’t that logical?
I think all the threads, posts, stickies etc. should tell them already that there’s a lot of us, we want a server and we’re willing to pay, but we don’t pay blindly.
Also if we all bought the pack now, they’d just assume we’re ok with a NA server and never make a EU one.

Maybe hosting more servers cost money? I doubt they chose not to have an EU server because they hate Europeans or don’t care about the EU player base. IMC is working within a budget and given that the market is saturated with games, they need to show that they can bring in revenue. A single server right now is not enough, but it’s what they have to work with at the moment given their constraints.

I don’t believe they can determine demand by a lack of it. By what metric would they be measuring the need for more servers from the absence of players?
It’s safe to buy founders pack. Lots of people already got refunds.
