Magic Amulets [Tos]

I’m not sure what the amulets do however since it’s all in Korean but I can’t decide if these amulets are better than the gems that I’ve seen already or not. :confused: I mean gems are nice and all but I think a % increase in anything would be better than a direct stat boost; at least in higher levels.

But for some context, I basically was soloing that boss for about 80% of its health until another person showed up, and they got a better drop than I did. I wasn’t too happy, but that’s RNG for you. :laughing:

Regardless, amulets are pretty unique in that they add some interesting special effects, and are more varied than gems. I suppose people who want something like the card system which had a lot of customisation, this and Item Awakening is where you’ll get it.

Seems like they’re not in Korean anymore. I just searched ‘amulet’ in ToSBase’s Item Database, and it shows everything in English. :smile:

Is Item Awakening even that good? I heard that the effects you get are very random like a leather glove could get magic amplification … which is very random for anything but Wiz and INT Cleric who want to build into evasion. Seems like a waste of potential unless you have a ton of the item and want to min max you stats.

HURRAH! now I can see that the amulets are mediocre lol. But they actually seem like PvP stuff… if the PvP equipment is standardized, how does this even work?

That’s actually really good for some classes. I saw a few questionable awakening options at the time but when I really thought about them, they were actually very good.

For example, Scale Boots have an awakening enchant of 44 INT. These are Plate armor boots. Initially, I was like ‘why the hell would you need that?’.Then, I remembered you have classes like Hoplite, with Finestra’s 10% INT added to Physical Attack, and you’ll also have Magic classes wearing plate for the defense and HP increase from the mastery.

With that leather glove with Magic Amplification, that’s perfect for a Sadhu as wearing Leather armor with the mastery as it increases Evasion, and pairing this with Out of Body’s 50% Evasion buff is great, plus Magic Amplification really improves Out of Body’s damage substantially.

I feel it opens some interesting itemisation builds because some awakening options are really useful. Some are pretty weird as well, a lot of +Poison Attribute damage items when really only Wugushi and Necromancer (sort of) can make use of these.

I really hope there are amulets that can give skill of other classes… Would love to get lvl 5 heal or teleport skill… Or some interesting buff…

I recently managed to get my hands on the magic amulet which dropped from the boss in the .webm I posted in this thread before.

You can see it here. They just cost 1 Potential to be added and can be added to Weapons and Subweapons. (Shields and Daggers)

This particular ones gives a 15% chance to apply a debuff on enemies you knock down for 15 seconds, which increases your damage by 20%. Funny enough, the translated prompt when adding a Magic Amulet says ‘do you want to add this card?’.

Very reminiscent of the card system.
