Lack of moderation in the forums

Chill son.

Clearly it’s a 50/50 as moderators need to be “modded” too…but don’t assume that they want to become mods just to get power. It’s precisely the point that the forums are NOT that bad aside from random annoying begging posts for keys that having some moderation established would be a good idea instead of a reaction or repercussion to forums getting out of hand.

You seem to have an issue with this but you need to curtail that attitude and language because… -You aren’t helping-

I can’t help but notice that the only one who has an overly-serious problem with the way the forums are is you yourself. When duplicate and spam threads are made, people here actually seem to like replying saying the same thing over and over [use search function, not this again, etc.],and at least it’s some sort of site activity. That’s better than nothing.

And unless they picked mods that were formally selected and even paid, you can’t expect them to act professionally and be on top of everything anyway.Anytime I’ve seen people turn into little mod squads on forums [without approval],they let the power go to their heads and they act like little pricks.Do you really want that when most people are okay with how it is currently?

The Unread and New Topics categories make sure new content isn’t buried immediately. It may be slightly different when the game launches, but then you have more topics to flag to get to the good ones if you like.So really, everybody wins with this set up.

They have their hands full with the beta/development for the game upon release. Here, you can pretty much sum it up, finding mods right now isn’t at the top of their list. Maybe when the game is fully released, they will. For now, you can either lurk or just mind yourself somewhere else. It’s not of a big deal anyway.

I agree that the forums do need better moderation. But it seems like they have yet to have a complete set of staff for the international version.

The GM’s were quite active both on the forums and in-game when the test phase was running. I think when development is done, they’ll be more active then they currently are.

There’s also the fact that this forum software allows for community moderation. If many people flag posts that are against the rules, etc, the thread can get locked and the posts will become hidden. For now, that’s fairly okay.
