[kToS new feature] Templeshooter Card and Kubas Card equip effects... IMC WHAT THE HELL?

dunno if everyone knows but soon™ we are getting improved card system that will allow us to equip cards on our character (every class rank unlock new card slot)

and that’s the list of cards and their effects (someone translated it from kToS): http://pastebin.com/PrCkZ21n

most of then are useless and there are maybe like 10 good cards BUT there are 2 UNBALANCED/BROKEN cards that will make PvP even bigger nightmare…

  • Templeshooter Card : [Card Slot Equip] Missile attacks have a [card count]% chance to silence for 5 seconds.
  • Kubas Card : [Card Slot Equip] Magic attacks have a [card count]% chance to sleep for 4 seconds.

first will make Archer OP stupidly broken and second one will make Wizards OP/god tier in PvP

those effects should be scrapped in something new…

Minotaur Card : [Card Slot Equip] When dealing physical damage, there’s a [★]% chance to inflict the stun debuff for 3 seconds.

Monks and Corsair may be happy BUT check description again… it’s PHYSICAL DAMAGE instead of MELEE ATTACKS it will make Archers OVERPOWERED in PvP… it should be changed asap into MELEE ATTACKS ONLY

let’s say 4 Mino cards + 3 Templeshooter Card and you are ready to become King/Queen in PvP

Coming from RO I think status effect cards are interesting and bring more dynamic to the game, so I don’t think they should be removed. It looks like you can only equip up to 5 cards anyway.

The bigger problem is that Templeshooter card is already highly in demand, it would be better to give less important cards a boost.

Ew, reminds me of Aion’s Godstones, which ruined pvp forever once everyone had them. Battles just became a whoever procs Godstone first is the winner battle.

1 slot per rank

so at rank7 you have 7 slots. And when Rank8 comes we will have 8 slots

so ye

good luck in balancing PvP with this sytem. Their either need to rework those two cards and fix mino card or make them work different in PvP…

perma silence/stun from archer or perma sleep from mage won’t be fun at all

PD Bloodletting will make all of these cards be futile as long as it’s still in effect

they need to rethink those 2~3 cards hard…

TS and Kubas are stupid as ■■■■ atm and need new effects, PvP restrictions or adding some protection from perma silence/sleep. Once silence/sleep/stun trigger you can’t get that effect (FROM CARDS only but skills that stun/silence/sleep still may work) during “X” seconds.

Mino card is a bit more balanced because it at least allows 3 of 4 classes (archer, sword, cleric/monk) use it because it will trigger with either skills or auto attacks… but still as long as it’s balanced on Swordman and Monk it’s broken to unbelieveble levels on archers classes speciall Q3.

Running Shot (+/- Kneeling Shot) = say hello to perma stun. Add to this Scout with Rogue and you can just prepare your butt for some crazy stun and backstab action in PvP

I mean as I understood it theres 2 types of modifiers for the cards, the other being the star and the other card count. There is no confirmation yet that the star count modifier bonuses will stack, so better wait for that before you get all upsetti spaghetti about something thats not even necessarily that bad lol.

I assume this community can’t handle nice updates without forcefully trying find something wrong about it so they let out all their aggressions like someone actually gives a ■■■■. :smirk:

Edit: Also even if it’s broken chances are that it will be nerfed before we get it.

My interpretation of [card count] is that they are intended to allow multiples of the same card to be slotted. As in slot 5 templeshooter cards, you got yourself a 5% chance to silence.

In other news kind of funny how they’re going to make status so rampant in pvp soon after the PD nerf.

i cant even imagine a QS c3 + schwarzer. silence + stun god. And slapping a chronomancer partner. rip

I think you’re mislabeling the first two cards as “op”; the Kubos and Templeshooter are (as currently translated at least) by card count meaning by R10 you will have 10 slots, and if all 10 cards are TS then you’ll have a 10% chance to silence.

Minotaur though, that’s the potentially OP one, if they allow cumulative benefits on ★ count cards. At 10 stars, and even just R7, that would be 70% per physical attack to stun for 3 seconds. Basically a near guaranteed perma stun lock. At R10 we’d have a statistically accurate perma stun lock (barring the player’s SPR/ abnormal status resistances etc).

I’m not worried about the first two. If a player eats all their card slots for a paltry 7% chance, per-mitigations, then they’ll be pretty inefficient compared to others who are smarter with their cards. Minotaur, on the other hand, could open up a whole slew of PvP woes when people consider other sources of physical damage, like hidden sapper traps in GvG that would lock down whole parties at once or other outside-the-box phys sources that likely wouldn’t be considered at first.

lets hope they adjust those effects but in the meantime its so !@#$%^&* OP :scream:
