kTOS General Thread (keep all in-game discussion here)

Hi guys, i’ve already read some comments about exp rate in kOBT, now i just wanna ask how was the drop rate in it compare to previous cbt?

Advance thanks for the answers.

Hi guys, can anyone tell me if we can use TP to purchase additional run for dungeon? Is it implemented yet? If it is, how can we do it?

damn reset channels, in 10mins i got 7 times reset and that is the time i am fighting boss!

If I am 10 levels behind a monster, do I get any penalty?

Level 34 C2 Archer looking for friends to play and grind with. Feel free to add me in-game, Schaffen. I’m on right now.

sent a friend invite, currently re-rolled a cleric to play with my sibling at the moment.

Sent you a friend request.
What’s your team name @Gwenyth?

Since I was curious, I went and compared exp rates from monsters, and came to the conclusion conclusively, that iCBT2 experience rates were 3x the current korean OBT rates (or 6x after the rate doubling). Experience cards aren’t affected by this change in rate however, and remain at their original rate. This is unusual, since even in iCBT2, questing was overwhelmingly the fastest way to level, and now that the rates are 1/3 that, the difference is even more pronounced. To make it even more dramatic, there’s basically twice as many quests from level 1-95 if you do both Orsha and Kleipeda routes.

Given that they don’t want this to be considered a ‘questing’ game, they’re doing a really bad job of it.

maybe there wont be as much questing after lv 300?
that they are just there to get your character started

They already said in previous interview:

When we did so, users’ play behavior deviated a lot from the direction
we wanted. We wanted players to get together and form new bonds. We
thought of getting rid of quests completely on 3rd test but we decided
to just remove quest markers.
Despite doing this, the Japanese feedback was that the game was
Quest-centric. Tree of Savior is not a quest based game. However, in the
process of getting used to the game, we think the quests will help you.
** Quests are prepared up to level 200 but we’d like for players to think **
that quests are a giant tutorial for the game.
In high level regions, Quests are scarce and there are lots of
gimmicks in game that will fill the gaps. There’s a lot of fun to be had
looking for variety of gimmick elements whether it be something you can
make or something you can move. [/quote]
So yeah, prepare for the true grindfest from level 200

mine is just Gwenyth, like my username

It worked, thanks.

Wondering if everyone struggle to create party and enter instance ? just like iCBT… because of this I might have to skip the lv50 dungeon but then I’d have to grind 80+ to reach 90…

I haven’t had any problems entering instances.

After the most recent maintenance i’ve been unable to create brand new parties using the create party button, but right clicking and inviting a player has worked ( and created a new generated party for us) .

You only get a penalty for being 4 levels ahead. The thing is if your behind in mobs and saving cards your actually wasting more time killing mobs while under leveled than you will save by hoarding cards. Thats why im against saving your cards unless your 4 levels ahead.

Yeah I love grinding and I haaaaate boring questhubs. My opinion though is they should have removed all subquest and buffed mob xp accordingly though. I hate quests and have to slog through 200 levels of them… then the opposite is true of people who hate grinding/like quests, they do 200 levels of quests then get a real shocker at 200+ >.<

i like both

the majority of the time during questing your beating things to death anyway, its nice to have a change of scenery every now and then too

as for grinding, i was born by it, moulded by it.
i played the old school MMO’s and committed myself to hours of mindless but satisfying slaughter, i hope this game lives up to that lol

to Orsha starter’s, what level you guys went to other town (klaipeda) and do the quest there? i’m level 30 now btw.

level 1. What I do is every time I get to a new map on one side, I do a quest and don’t hand it in so I have a warp. Then I warp to the other side and do a map. From level 70+ you also have a third side going out of klapedia so you end up juggling 3 sides >.<

with my archer i started at 35 and skipped all the lvl 1 cards
with my preist i started as soon as i got 1k gold and bought a scroll from the market

its better to start straight away so you get a nice boost in levels without having to run through content overleveled

the earlier the better i would say, i went to klaipeda for the first time at lvl 55 where i first got into the gateway of great king map, been backtracking the main story quests and any good value exp cards ( 3 for me atm )
