Klaipeda Server Down?

What needs to be done is that they have separate servers for different functions. A character server, a map server, a login server, zones server, a mob/npc server… these are all contained on one box for example. Then they could have separate boxes for channels. Then all of these are interconnected… If they’re really wanting to resolve these issues, they may need to be prepared to rewrite/redo things. Also they could take a look at how other games are doing things…

There was a game which I still play that had some serious growing pains and issues, but they resolved them fairly quickly and “ponied” up for the servers that were needed and didn’t try to cut corners. This as a result built a very loyal community, of which said game I’ve not been on in order to play this one. I honestly am starting to think I’m wasting my time, but I was having high hopes on this one due to waiting for it the last 3-4 years. =/

I’m still getting cmd load errors and such. Even on random regular maps and also the 50 dungeon stuff too. Had to log off, can’t keep wasting my time sadly. Getting 5-10mins of gameplay per hour isn’t worth it for me atm.

Man, I haven’t been this annoyed ‘attempting’ to play a game in awhile… still, first work problems right?

They need to split Klaipeda up into an East and West server

This here isn’t a bad idea (I’ve been thinking it myself but haven’t voiced it), but presumably this is something that can be done via them taking a look at their db and look at IP logs. They’d do this in order to nail down where most people are logging in from provided they’re not using VPNs. They may need to split into 3: East, Central, and West… who knows. Presumably this game is a lot more popular than they anticipated, and on this basis would be the justification and basis for actions accordingly.

It’s getting kind of silly at this point. The that was launched first is likely behind the later servers in terms of progression at this point. Simply because it’s unstable as ■■■■.

For those having the CommandLoad failure… I just ran into it myself. To get around it after it happens do the following. At the character select screen change the channel to one of the high load channels (4 red dots or higher) and try to enter game while at one of those channels. That’s how I resolved it for myself. It’s annoying and tedious if you are area hopping a lot but it seems to work.

I was able to switch channels for a while after logging back in like this but now it doesn’t seem to want to cooperate.

That does not work if there are only 3 non-croweded channels when you get the commanderload error.
