[Update] iTOS Server(s) will be located in the East Coast (new link, more accurate ping check)

Just got this reply from John. As expected, no change in server location from the previous betas (Ashburn, Virginia). Using Amazon Web Services.

Check your ping here: http://www.cloudping.info/ (US East Virginia)

Edit: Make sure you’re not downloading/torrenting or doing anything else with your connection while doing the test.

Still NA?

Niiiiiice, have fun, people, especially those who play in Europe. Pay up quickly!

Aw yiss. I practically live in their backyard then. lel

Ping to East coast NA from EU isn’t that bad. Be glad it’s from there and not from the west coast as usual.

It’s still bad.

Their download section showed future servers from Europe. I assumed it was the case, so it didn’t matter that much.

But for 50$ it’s one big deal at how people play - with lags or without them.

I imagine it will happen with f2p why they didn’t bother with a EU server on EA. Who knows. It is bad, but atleast it’s east coast and not west.

Good news, and on a side note I’m happy to see he’s on the forum… Sending positive vibes to the staff ! :v:

For F2P it isn’t that important, since, you know, you get free stuff, but for B2P it can be a dealbreaker for some people.

I sure hope we will get European server in the future, otherwise this sucks.

Oh i understand that. I’m from the East Coast in USA/NA. Playing on EU or West coast servers were pretty much the same for me, ping wise which i imagine is why they’re going for a North American East Coast server for now.

Generally gonna look at a 115-150ping to the servers from EU. Maybe better for some. But it’s way better then 170-230ping.

I was expecting EU and SA servers for this beta, specially because they left open the possibility of a br server in the second icbt.

I thought they were advanced on this, maybe already dealing with amazon.

edit: just to make clear, if there’s just one place again, I agree US east coast being the best option considering most players are from NA/EU/SA.

380 ping from brazil wtf
what’s the difference between this amazon S3 us-east1 and amazon EC2 us-east1? looks like i get a better latency in the S3 ones.

Just checked, it’s 304.

Like… holy fuking sh**t.

434ms for me…

Im now down to 10% in choosing to buy or not…

Pros:
-I get to play the game I’ve been waiting for a long time (Didn’t get the chance to make it to CBT)

Cons:
-Pay 50$ for an unfinished game.
-No friends to play due to no one wanting to spend 50$ on a game they’ll play for casual.
-Lag
-Fewer players in game.
-Probably lots of bugs.

247ms for me, Guess I’m going to not get a founders pack need a Eu server first when ever that happens.

476.5 i think i won in this competition xD

The ping is strangely high here too…
Does anyone know where are Diablo servers located? I know they are Amazon’s too, and I get around 200ms there. But not sure on which coast.

well you know am from a 3rd world country in SEA but also i will buy this package for sure i’m don’t care about lag cause whatever game we play we face lag problem.

My foreign friend ask me “How can you play online game with a lot of PING and lag problem like this?”
I answer him “Well that my secret am always LAG”

I just hope they’d create a SEA server soon… That way there’d be less lags and no server overload (I doubt on server overload though).

Singapore player here.

No SEA or Oceanic servers? At least give us a WEST COAST SERVER.

Really disappointing. Stop ignoring playerbase from asia/australia. Is our market really so small that most online games simply dont care about this region.

Even Blizzard games and upcoming Overwatch has singapore servers.

Very disappointing. I dont think i will support Tos by buying the founder pack. Give us proper servers treat us like a valued customer then we give u our cash.
