Is rode C2 ok? or should I aim for C3 and leave hop at C1?
You’ll lose one of your main DPS skills (Shooting Star), especially if you have Shinobi in the build, as bunshin can clone the skill.

How viable is rodelero/Shinobi without murmilo?
What would you get at rank 8 for a Rodel C3 other than Murmillo?
None of the previous classes can really replace Murmillo without a huge loss of dps (Hoplite, Swordman, Peltasta or Rodel)…
If you go Rodel, either C3 or don’t take it at all.
