Use Kneeling shot or camouflage after a load screen to “fix” this Issue.
now the auto swap is working with my sapper cannoner but only inside dungeons, outside dungeons i am not getting pistol+xbow back outside dungeons.
i am not sure if they did something or sappers were like this because i got sapper this morning and they are not talking to me via support ticket.
edit: it’s claymore, it’s fixing the auto swap.
Returning cannoneer here, had this problem when I came back and I think I found the solution.
Pretty sure it’s tied to using cannon skills during bazooka or kneeling shot. Try dropping into either stance and back out when it happens and see if you’ll start auto swapping back to your bow on your next auto attack, that’s what has been working for me.
i am not cannoner c2 yet and we these free rank reset i am testing sapper with cannoner and i am being able to fix it using claymore god they need to fix this crap i will send them a video, they don’t understand what we talking about because they don’t play the game, thanks for these advices tho.
Mine doesn’t work at all for Hoplite Dragoon .
Only for archers, unfortunately. 
I kinda miss the auto-swap-then-auto-swap-back. I think that’s the way things should’ve worked, not what it is now where you’ll have to manually switch back to your original weapon set. 
That’s dumb. I can’t even switch to another weapon after throwing my spear; manual or auto.
