Just realized barely anyone is buying or opening gacha cubes this time, and we have some pretty amazing rewards on them.
So the question is: is a boycott going on without players even noticing it (because those items were all available for direct purchase in both kTOS and jTOS) or IMC is simply losing clients?
Edit: Just to clarify, I decided not to buy any gacha anymore and instead only buy TPs when new costumes are added for direct purchase, I am wondering if everyone else is just doing the same
30tp for a single Goddess blessed cube is quite ridiculous. I’ll just wait for the cheaper Leticia cubes(10tp) with more useful content.
I won’t buy anymore knowing that jtos and ktos get these items for direct purchase and at a cheaper rate. I don’t understand why IMC doesn’t put items in the TP shop. And then the tp restrictions? Are they trying to encourage rmt and bots?
I bet you it’s the TP restriction they just put up lol. Killing their own profits.
Goddess cubes have always been a poo poo
Probably the new TP restrictions, I imagine. Releasing that and these cubes was probably a horrible idea. (or maybe not depending on how much credit card fraud is typically used to buy these cubes)
Some people such as myself enough Exchange Points already, I’d rather wait 2 months to buy the costumes from EP Shop.
Another possibility is that people got apprehensive towards Goddess Blessed Cube after the Wedding one, as it had abysmal rates.
We are on boycott for justice.
We want some packs, we want others options like happens in others servers.

Yea, that wedding cube was a real burn. 13 different items in the A rank, which is just ludicrous, and most of the costume ones were just small niche things instead of full suits, and if you DID want those niche small things instead of a full suit, they were never going on the exchange so there’s a lot of despair if you weren’t lucky enough to get them. Compare it to the latest one which is only 10 items in the A rank of which ALL of them with the exception of the usual three boobie prizes (abrasive, anvils) are costume suits, of which it is likely all will go on the exchange eventually so you can get them there even if your luck fails you.
(though it’s still probably a crappy rate in general, I think. Good thing there’s the exchange shop)
You can always raise some silver by selling costumes using whatever amount of exchange points you have and use the money to buy from someone else. That’s what I did to get the pop-up book, the music box and the heart-throb wedding dress (I spent 35m in total I think).
Costumes are guaranteed to be released on EP shop but some items turn into legacy content, and I’m very sure that all the Tier A items aside from costumes and consumables will not be available until a re-release, if it ever happen.
Im holding back my steam fund as well until the juicy stuff comes
Why do I have a feeling that the player boost during May and June are mostly alternate accounts and returning players NOT new players? Seems like this game has trouble attracting new players. I have been grinding some valuable items and to my surprise the whole map is empty even though the item/recipe is not that hard to get. One more thing, there are only few people buying Token even before the TP restriction. This is a bad sign because it means there are few people buying TP.
Maybe what’s happening in Silute is not a boycott but a massive reduction in the “whale” population.
I think the reduction in token purchases has to do with the cubes, probably (I can’t confirm the numbers) is more profitable to buy the cubes and sell the results in the market (costumes, headgears) or to buy the cubes and exchange the medals for items you want since there are few of each TP costume in the market.
I cannot describe how disappointed I am when IMC decided to put 5 costumes including the forest fairy in gacha. I am pretty sure that many ppl including me have been expecting the fairy costume to be sold at 129TP directly but again, IMC proves that iTOS will just have gacha for all its life.
Just recall that on ktos, when buying wedding gacha 10+1 for 299TP, you will get my wedding costume for sure. See what we got on itos…
Yea, I’ve been waiting for this costume since they released it on KToS and I was really happy because it was added directly to TP shop instead of Gacha Cubes (I didn’t know it was a normal thing there) and then when it finally comes to our servers, guess what??!! IMC doing what they do best, milk as much money as possible from the comunity - or what’s left of it -.
“Good rewards” They’d be good for $10 for a costume in any other game, they’re equivalent to $20 here because of gacha.
If you ‘fail’ or get the regular result it’s 30 medals per item you get back. Costumes are 298 TP, and they’re not available yet on the medal market, but even if they were you’d need 9 out of the 11 in a 300 TP pack to swap out for it.
It’s a very, very bad deal and it’s something people might forgive if they were actually prolific with their release of costumes but they aren’t, they are hella slow, and the quality is average at best.
Compare this to how Maple Story releases cash shop for example, or even kToS and you will see the big problem. The cost is much higher AND it is tied to chance, it’s not good.
This game is too punishing to hard to attract new players.
ToS destiny is to bleed players. IMC can try to transfuse new ones through major updates, but if they don’t close the wounds called bad design nothing will happen in the long run.
