IMC should hint or announce it globally when a world boss will spawn

This would make it more competitive for world boss party and would also give opportunity to new players.
Furthermore, it would mean that there will be less monopoly of items from those guilds that hold the timers.

It doesn’t mean that it would eliminate boss camping. The announcement will not give the exact time but will give random times from 0 to 30 min prior to the announcement before the boss will spawn.
Moreover, the spawn location will not be announced so people will still look for the boss on the different maps that it might spawn.

Once upon a time there was coding already in the game which shows the boss spawn on the map. Then someone made an addon to bring back said feature so if you’re on the map you actually know when and where.

I have that addon already, it only announces if you are on the same map as the boss.
I hope they make a global announcement like when tbl or guild vs guild is going to start.

That being said though on my server, Canceril is always being occupied and there’s always people over there afk. Either you need to be dedicated towards WB spawn timer or don’t bother it. especially if you’re not confident with your DPS and speed traveling.

I have always been bossing and I always see the same faces on all the famous hunting grounds. I just want to see new faces that try to kill the bosses. If you look at the market in my server most Boss Drops are being sold by the same people in one guild.

I mean that requires new players to actually play the game. Which they aren’t retaining any and have been losing players for a long time now.

well, it’s partly goes with community though.

Once you know that people always doing that boss, either you pt with him, compete dps rank or give up entirely.

WB drops are limited to 5 top dps X 5 people on each party and assuming if one person on each party managed to get rank CMIIW.
Note that DPS rank are sometimes buggy and you waste like 1 hour doing 280 bosses and ended up getting nothing :smirk:

I dont think 280 bosses last 1 hour anymore, usually 10min is the longest which is 5 people.

I’ve seen may 280 tryhards, 2 hours solo lel. And many 330’s don’t go for 280 Demon lords.

yeah that announcement that comes when it is 2 hours from spawning is a tad deceiving especially because of how they word it. they make it sound as if it is almost there. 2 hours is not “almost there”.

Do we even have “world boss” monsters? xD Don’t we just have field bosses, as in the field you’re in.

The current bosses aren’t worth the whole announcement thing. If they added real “world bosses” with scaling hp and defenses based on how many players are hitting it and other factors so its fair to everyone who participates… and the boss drops are like blessed gems, TP, costumes, pets etc. then I’d see them needing a broadcast for it.

Maybe in the future it’ll happen.

The solution to this problem was to make world bosses non-competitive, by adding a debuff to people who have gotten a cube on most normal WBs.

World bossing is not even remotely competitive since that change, mostly due to posts like yours–adding an announcement would mean nothing because the guilds with timers would be on the map and killing the boss before others could warp there. The only real “solution,” and I’m by NO means advocating this, would be to randomize the timers. And I say “solution” because there isn’t really a problem here to be solved.

If you want to get boss cubes, join a guild that does them. If you don’t want to join a guild, then continue doing solo content, which does not include world bosses.

the thing is now there are not much people doing WB anymore and with low population.

you will either see same faces or even it’s just another their alts :sweat_smile:
