IMC Hates ToS, Confirmed

If however things somehow take a turn for the better… well that would be just great… but until then, I will stay for the ride (no matter how bumpy it is) and then move along once something else grabs my interest… :disappointed:

If it was a cash grab, they certainly wouldn’t have blocked new players from registering and halved the token price. Seems they put player satisfaction over money.

I’m actually pretty optimistic. If I wouldn’t visit the forums, I wouldn’t even be aware that the game had any issues, because from ingame perspective it’s just a really fun game that could need a few improvements here and there, but nothing critical. I could probably enjoy the game another year even without any updates without getting bored.

The only thing that really bothered me was that they wanted me to pay $18 per month just for VIP benefits and that issue was (verbally) resolved within 3 days it was first brought up. So from my personal perspective IMC is pretty amazing in how they handle things, I’d put them into my top 3 MMORPG developers/publishers for sure.

Sure it would be cool to have huge updates every week, but I don’t expect that at all. I’ve played tons of MMORPGs already and in pretty much all the suggestions were just outright ignored completely, so I’m kinda used to that for years now.

Yes, I kinda feel like I ought to protect them, because they are doing a good job and don’t deserve all the negativity.

I’m going to reply strictly as a devil’s advocate here to show you the flip side to your arguments. However I still respect your views on things since you don’t seem like a complete idiot like some people here.

Some people see this as a PR move due to the reviews for the game. It’s also a 58/100 on PC gamer (also mixed). People spoke up in a huge post where the guy’s criticism got 700 likes and hundreds of constructive replies so IMC had to do something about the game from that thread and the reviews. This was a very dirty and easy way for them to show everyone that they are ‘doing something’.

You are a pretty carefree gamer who doesn’t look for things to hate in a game which shows by how optimistic you are with your posts. It stands to reason that you are under the category of “easy to please” and game devs love people like you. But you may actually be a minority under the swarms of people who demand more out of their games and refuse to take certain game design decisions that they deem ‘unfun’ (Trade restrictions etc).

Not every week but every month it would be swell to see more than 5-8 very minor things in a patch. It’d also be swell if the changes they made could actually be felt at all. With all of the top complaints about the game being ignored, it’s very hard to feel as if IMC is doing anything at all no matter what patch they throw at us.

It’s a just cause since smaller companies don’t have close to the resources that a AAA company like Blizzard, EA, Activision etc has. However, if something isn’t fun then it isn’t fun. Thanks to people being spoiled by AAA companies for 15+ years, consumer behavior and expectations have changed.

Remember during the NES days? People just played bad games and loved it. When game development turned into a billion dollar industry with huge corporations, the top players set the consumer expectations. Now if a smaller company can’t match player expectations then they will be crushed by criticism.

Is it fair? Nope. But since consumers have been changed by the AAA companies, they find it difficult to enjoy things that didn’t match their expectations. Not everyone maintains an open mind to accept flaws and seek the good in things. It is something IMC should have prepared for ahead of time expecting nice-nice and pats on the back with a, “Good job” from the gamers.

Stop the nonesense OP.
It’s not because you didn’t get what you want today, that IMC hates ToS.
Anyone who is following Ktos and Itos news closely know that you’re wrong.

It’s more of a communication issue than a coding issue.

The problem with IMC is that we do not really know what they are doing.

They might be doing nothing, they might be doing something really big that they have no time for anything else. But the point is, nobody knows, that’s why forum is filled with hateful posts.

I, being a developer myself for more than 10 years, realized that one of the key point to keep good relationship with customers is transparency. But that’s hard to ask for in Asia.

IIRC; I’m pretty sure I heard that the game was developing for 5+ years.

You kidding?

The day they add those changes this forum is going to be a hell’s gate if they don’t issue class resets…and given they haven’t figured out a way to implement that yet…hoooooo boy.

FlanFlan…fetch the popcorn…

I would like a box of popcorn and a long purple dildo like the one in saints row before everything turns to chaos

I think more people will be satisfied to see some class changes and will take that for what it is. Even if it means leveling another char. This place is already devolving into a “hell’s gate”, and its because of the generally poor updates.

@CarriedYou :
In your opening post, where is the so-called confirmation that IMC hates TOS?
Did they actually say “yes, we hate our own game” or did anyone find any written confirmation that IMC claimed that they hate their own product? All you posted were suspicions because you are unhappy what changes/fixes they make with every weeks maintenance. So basically you lied when you claimed you had confirmation about this matter.

Yes,we wish they would change/fix more stuff every week but unless you actually know how the game is made up, so you can do proper judgement how fast fixes/changes can be implemented in the games code, and unless you know the arrangements between our IMC and the korean developers, aka what our IMC is allowed to change and what development tools are available to our IMC, you should shut up about your so-called “confirmations” and accusations and keep it to normal complaints.

I’ve listed the ACTUAL patch notes that they WOULD give us if they didn’t HATE ToS.[/quote]
So basically your logic is “they didn’t do what i want them to, therefore they hate their own product.”. Brilliant.
Do you also think parents not always doing what their children want means that the parents hate their children?

Liar. Not every other game offered server transfers, and many offered server transfers only after a long time after the game was out.
