If you are so smart to find something else better do tell me what it is. Seriously, I need those chupa ears for the collection and I don’t have 120k silver for it.
So just level up until you hit druid and get those crazy plants DPS. or get a sadhu. You are playing a non-dps oriented class (dievdirbys) and complain about your DPS…
Seriously, the only damage skill dievdirbys has based off INT is the owl statue that’s not even that reliable. What were you expecting, honestly?
u can’t even farm 120k silver and buy it on market?
My issue is where to farm it. I know nothing about the market on this game and I’m around level 83. I can’t continue with the quests because I’m duoing with someone so there must be some place where I can get loot.
So my dps choices are stuck between sadhu and priest. Swordman, the tank, has dps choices base and cryo or linker have dps potential. I complain because “full support” priests do more damage than me.
Well i am a full int cleric /priest healer/support and even tho i agree on some points i disagree on others AND i want to say that where you see a missed chance there could actually be an opportunity.
Let me explain:
This is WRONG! it’s true that you’ll never hit like a dps class with your physical attack but… let me give an example: i’m around lvl 170 at the moment. with my awesome 10 of str and my mace i hit enemies for about 150-170 a hit.
BTW, let me mention the fact that my mace is NOT upgraded at all cause i wanted to save silver and that it’s still a lvl 120 common one bought in the stores in Fedimian.
To this one first value we got to add the sacrament bonus, that, when at max lvl, will add around +80 damange that’ll be around 120-160 if that enemy is weak to holy.
To this let’s add belssing that’ll bring your attack up by another 170.
So at the end with NO POINTS in strenght you’re going to hit for about 500 per hit… that’ll be around the same amount of damage that you’re going to do using a heal tile with a full int build. IF your enemy is going to be weak to holy then that stat will rise at about 600 i think.
Can’t argue with that BUT where you see only negative sides there actually is a fairly nice point to consider.
When you rise in level and people will start making grinding parties you’re going to be requested, not for the dps aspect of it, but because cleric class in party rise the party exp and for the buffs.
COnsidering the fact that in most grinding spots other classes will whipe almost everything without taking a great deal of damage this is what you’re going to do to get exp, silver and items:
join the party, buff everyone, open up a movie on your tv, watch the movie while watching the timers on your buffs, buff again, continue watching movie.
You won’t even have to move most of the times because you’ll be doing what you’re supposed to just by BEEING in the party and standing still buffing every tot minutes while everyone else run around.
So let me guarantee you… you will be a leecher cleric in a grinding party and people will be GLAD to have you anyway.
On this one i kind of agree… in order not to suffer from this you need to get to a point were you have at least 3-4 attack skills… that’ll be around rank 6.
I will reply to your rant with my opinion which might not fit the type of answer you are looking for. While leveling my Wizard i realize how annoying it was to try and finish each collection while pushing to reach rank 7 and have my full build. Thats when i stopped trying and kept leveling, as someone already mention on a post before get to druid then comeback and farm everything all you want.
Okay, I said I didn’t add priest because they were another world. You can just buff, I CAN’T BUFF. DIEV NO BUFF. I lay statues and call it a day. Even more, currently two of my statues are bugged so they work when they please.
Aren’t dieve the ones that makes statues… they’ll be useful with absolutly no problem as soon as thos bugs are solved
Dude. Any idea how long it would take a cleric to farm those? And you are calling ssomeone else dumb, geez.
I have 1500+ deset chupa kills, no ears. A friend has around 2000 kills, 10 ears. IMC gimped the clerics even when they are out of a party.
Who said they are full support? Most peeps who go priest for sacra / blessing also focus on getting STR / DEX to deal damage with the said buffs. If you want a real full support priest you’d have to go full CON with SPR (and say bye bye dps).
Also, you clearly didn’t play priest at all. Sure, they have lots of nice buffs, but the buffs don’t benefit everyone as well as you think it would. Biggest strength of sacra / blessing buff combo comes when you use auto-attacks, but there are very few classes who use that much auto-atks. Wizards barely benefit from those buffs and archers are usually spamming 0 cd skills like oblique so they are rarely auto-atk builds.
Also, if you ever played a STR/DEX priest you’d always feel inferior in terms of DPS compared to other real DPS classes. Remember anyone can buy 1 hour sacrament / blessing buffs from pardoners in town as well (so no, your buffs aren’t as ‘unique’ as you think).
You don’t have any damaging skills as priest C3 (like cartar stroke or seism), gameplay is also super boring.
But back on topic, there are cleric classes that deal way more DPS than a INT dievdirbys. Both STR and INT paths for clerics have good solid DPS class choices.
lol… ok… and here i was thinking that this was a serious tread… this answer just proved me wrong so i’ll be glad to just… fade away and let you guys have it xD
Btw i don’t know about you but when i first started to play mmos years ago… all games were grinding games… and you could spend weeks killing the same mobs without getting anything and then a random guy pops up, kill a couple and get it… it’s called luck.
I still have to succesfully drop an angel card in rappelz… been killing those fu****** for 2 months before i did quit years ago
Yeah but who wants a dps cleric? none of the cleric classes can match the dps really of the other classes, I’d rather them stick to what they are meant for: support. Besides as a cleric u can use: mace or sword, and also have a arde dagger in offhand that will proc its fire damage at least twice per auto attack if you have sacriment active. 3 times if you have one of the champlain buffs too. Even with 0 points added to str on a cleric with arde dagger+priest3 you can wreck things with auto attack at a decent rate. Remember cleric is not a dps class no matter what build you try to use, it’ll always be lower than swordsman which is bascally 3rd on dps charts… well 3rd if you don’t got one specific build anyway.
How about you get some more level and farm them then? … mind blown
So? You’re just reinforcing my point. Priests aren’t DPS classes.
But clerics have classes on par with other DPS.
Like I’ve mentioned before, my sadhu C2 friend with possession and the other sadhu skills is on par on damage with my barbarian C3.
Also monks are pretty damn nice for DPS.
Ah, an even dumber thing to say. Where did you read that I had issues farming them?
Similar exp and farming Raydric cards on RO. Your post remind me so much about how many people attracted to this game either forget or never played Old School grind MMO’S. Pretty sure they are trying to compare this to the mainstreams questing MMO’S like WoW, GW2, etc…
Kriv can work with paladin c3 then go doctor rank 7
Lv153 C2 Cleric, C2 Priest and C1 paladin here, having fun smiting things in demon prison. So I don’t see much problems there. If you went for a build that lacks dps it’s your fault cause you chose to be full support and not find a balance between dps and support. I have found my balance, and you had the chance to too.
I mean seriously, the moment you started cleric you should’ve known there isn’t much dps options with the cleric base class, and you went for the least DPS route then complain about farming.
Sorry if I come off as rude, but this is what I think you did wrong with your character, it’s not IMC don’t want cleric class to farm, it’s your character wasn’t built to be meant for farm.
Either way you could always wait until you get druid.
