Then that’s on you; playing a Single Player experience.
Understandable.
Already in the game.
Overall; you want Quality of Life things yet are out-right opposed to trading in an MMO?

P2W isn’t simply because you can charge or not. Items are what people consider P2W; not being charged. Buying/Selling Tokens isn’t directly P2W; but the Token can be argued to be. I won’t because I have already made statements in many other threads about what P2W is and the whole trading fiasco.
Thanks! Those are great, i’ll definitely add them.
And to quote Total Biscuit, “…a real beta does not charge, when you start charging, its not a beta anymore, it’s just a game that is unfinished and yet has the gall to charge money anyway…”
LOL!
“I know what I want in life, and don’t have too much time on my hands - so what I prioritise is just being able to play a fun game with the time I wana invest in games.”
Then why are you posting instead of playing?
I don’t think a lack of trading constitutes single player. Buying stuff from each other is at most 1% of the multi-player aspect of this game lol. I play clerics so I’m partyin all the time. I’ve made it to Diev3 without buying a single thing from the auction or trading - despite having token on.
I don’t think he’s opposed to it. It’s moreso that the popular opinion is being like 6th-grade-level-over-dramatic. Sure trading isn’t perfect, but it isn’t killing the game like OP believes.
It’s the idea that continuously comes to mind when people fubar social aspects of games.
As the game currently stands; it might as well be a Single Player game. It is incredibly difficult (and less efficient!) to play with friends. Bad design.
I can understand why people would argue otherwise, there is some discussion to be had whether it is actually "P2W"or not; but regardless i think it’s damaging to the game and can only be harmful in the long one.
I still stand by that it’s monetization of a fundamental mechanic in a MMORPG; making it nearly unplayable unless you adhere to a monthly-fee program (which is essentially a subscription based system). Only they still wanted to keep the F2P tag because it attracts more customers; and as you can see on this forum, some people will still defend it.
But i refuse to let games degrade even further, i’ll use everything in my power as a customer to stop it.
bro, P2W is like, u go max lvl pvp and die cus the other one has a super cash weapon. this game is not p2w, u should check ALLODS ONLINE u will love that =)

Don’t waste your time replaying to it…
Ignore it or it will try to drag you down in a lot of nonsense and crab
One. These things are in every MMORPG now adays, and slowly creeping into other genres.
Two. It makes these devs/pubs alot of money in a short period of time. Games that have finite lives (MMOs especially, cause when the dev/pub shut the server down; it’s pretty much gone), it makes sense from a business standpoint. Especially with so many game hoppers now adays.
Three. This game is barely p2w if at all. We will see in about half a year what they add.
Four. We could of all waited till April 28th and played for free.
Five. Honestly the $10 I spent so far as been well worth it for me.
PS Im not a fan of how MMORPGs specifically monetize their gear. With their refinement/upgrade/enchant systems. But it is, what it is, at this point. They got away with it from the start, and now are just running with it.
The game is F2P. If trading wasn’t behind a paywall, people could spam new accounts to bot and transfer items, thus destroying the economy anyway.
Elder Scrolls Online has an even more restricted economy than TOS and that game is doing just fine
Exactly, I agree completely with the last few things you said.
In the end, I don’t blame you for liking the game or spending your money on it; that’s completely your choice.
If you like the game perfectly as is, that is fine with me, please continue to enjoy it.
But i don’t, and i am disappointed, and i want to let them know why. I’m sure many other players share the same feeling and in the end i just want a healthier industry, and a great game by IMC that i can pay to support and enjoy.
I put 50 bucks into a Kickstarter game that never happened once
But yeah, if people took a few mins to Google the game before buying, they’d know token -> trading. Not like they pulled a fast one.
And this monetization system is pretty generous all things considered. They could’ve gone with full-on subscription-based like RO was.
But instead we get an ->OPTIONAL<- subscription which includes lots of nice ->optional<- perks.
If they did $10/month they wouldn’t be getting nearly as many complaints. But they decided to try something funky.
If you looked at the first video by Extra credits IMC does every single thing they say you are supposed to NOT DO when using micro transactions:
Guys, stop complaining, the problems that makes people feel unsatisfied with the game until now are the bunch of technical issues that seems to have no importance for IMC (Low FPS, unstable servers).
I think all of us will be happy if they just fix that major issues.
Like every MMORPG out there and even heavier handed in F2P ones.
The enchant scrolls are pay2win, I bought a few and now have a hat with +28 phys attack and +76 hp regen or so, and another with +32 magic attack and some evasion, a 3rd with +22 sp regen, whiule the numbers sound small 28 phys attack is roughly like +20 or 25 str, that is no small bonus.
