Tree of Savior Forum

I'm complaining again

Tree of savior is falling of a brick, let us express our skill concerns and frustrations to the great void so that we may never be heard.

Cleric.
Heal is good and scales well with each level. The SPR healing leaves something to be desired.

Cure is good and scales well with each level plus very it scales very well with Int.

Safety Zone is good, but leveling it has become slightly less appealing due to the attribute, not a big loss.

Deprotected Zone, generally bad. I don’t recall the size increasing per level which is part of the unfortunate thing about it. You would think at a higher level the zone becomes quite sizeable. As one of two skills in this tree affected by SPR, a boost to its efficiency would be nice to create some more build options.

Divine Might is fine. Fade is fine although very niche. Guardian Saint is fine.

Krivis.
Zaibas is fine, it’s a disappointing aoe but it does the job in single target. Lightning is an attractive element. Scales well with Int to boot.

Aukuras. Good Skill, rather powerful that cooldown however makes it fairly niche in general use unfortunately. Part of that niche is how Aukuras doesn’t function particularly well by itself as a heal. It can be sold so it’s not very special.

Zalciai. An interesting skill but the bug fix made it a lot less attractive. The main thing is that it’s a buff to physical damage dealers which is generally 3/5’s or less of a team. It can be sold so it’s not very special.

Daino. Also an interesting skill given the buff mechanics of the game but since it can be sold it’s more interesting for pardoners than anyone else. A Very set it and forget it skill.

**Divine Stigma. Buffs the Out of Body Spirit, maybe zombies can use it, it’s a rather disappointing skill based on current knowledge. Giving STR and INT is interesting given how Clerics can utilize both stats but it’s a really mediocre amount that isn’t increased any other way then levels, basically it becomes irrelevant outside of hidden mechanics.

Meistis. Super powerful skill.

Bokor.
Main Complaint is Ogougeve vs Damballa.
These are both gained at C3 but they work on two different directions.
Damballa is a sacrificial skill on a very short cooldown that even recreates zombies…

Ogougeve is about zombie empowerment and it’s on a sizeable cooldown.
One skill focuses on killing zombies whenever they’re available and the other focuses on keeping them alive. Let’s get into the problem.
Ogougeve scales very poorly.
We’re talking Zombie Base damage + 50% of Int
vs
Skill base damage + 250% Magic Attack.
In both cases Damballa is working off a lot more damage and it’s on a shorter cooldown. A Zombie maintenance build by extension simply isn’t appealing because of this divide. If Ogougeve worked on SPR (more than 50%) on the other hand there may be a more interesting play here given defense reduction movies like Dzone and Monstrance. That would cater more to allowing INT (effigy, Damballa) based and SPR (Zombie maintanence) based builds.

Sadhu.
Out of Body can be boosted either through Divine Stigma or Aukuras. These are fairly niche situations. The Spirit doesn’t scale particularly well so killing later enemies is a bit of a problem so that it can even get the buff. The Evasion boost is very nice but it’s a fairly weak stationary turret unless buffed to be acceptable.

Astral Body Explosion. This skill is very poor. Again Out of Body can be buffed through two different buffs. These Buffs will give it a T0 damage modifier for magic attack. When all is said and done you’re looking at about 3x Magic Attack damage output before enhance, ignoring enemy defense. ABE on the other hand is 250% magic attack and skill damage before enhance ignoring enemy defense…on a 30s CD and destroys the spirit. This also makes ABE less appealing in the case that your spirit is buffed. Why would you blow it up for paltry damage over keeping the buff. There are few situations.

Vashiti. Wtf is anyone really going to do with the skill. There is some sort of PvP Niche by attacking their CON but that’s about all that’s known. Confusion is often useless.

Prakriti. Interesting skill, doesn’t really matter much with all the movement speed options we have right now. It simply moves you too slowly. The spirit being consumed in the end isn’t always appealing again because you may lose the Spirit buffs which are hard/cumbersome to get on it in the first place.

Possession. Good skill, it’s damage isn’t always the best but it hits a lot of targets and works as significant Crowd Control.

Transmit Prana. This skill simply does offer real net gains. Take the Linkers Lifeline skill for instance since the highest stats are all copied overall everyones getting a boost in net stats. With Transmit Prana however it’s just a 1:1 transfer of half your Int or other stats. Int alone isn’t worth enough to make this skill particularly appealing. In the current state of affairs it would have to give double what you sacrifice before it really generates appeal. Sacrificing part of your own damage for a net gain in the parties damage is all fine and good, but if its a 1:1 trade it’s simply not worth it for what the stat does.

Cleric in general:
The Cleric class recommends consideration of STR, INT and SPR.
STR and SPR currently are of marginal benefit at best; Multiple classes make no use of two stats. There isn’t even many expensive skills to care even about the inherit benefits of SPR. The Class is so powerful on skills that mitigate 100% of damage, that could’ve been toned down, but given the strength of many defensive options it feels like you’ve painted yourself into a corner.
The majority of your Clerics putting Cleric C2 into their build even if they’re Krivis or Priest based **isn’**t a good thing.

We didn’t get the zombie 3x buff, did we?

It came in the last big patch. Fairly sure because zombies are doing more damage after that.

They should pay you👍🏼
