Back then fc and jp had a bad interaction, I think it’s been fixed now. Now with r8 Link3wl2 is way better though, and it’s pretty much the same style of build.

Correct, simply adding scaling to all skills fixes everything. Flat damage is a really bad idea, particularly for a game like ToS.

The scalling is already there.
Fireball hit 15 time? Then it does 1500%> 5000% of your Matk+Base damage (Multiplier)
Changing how the formula work… Would change everything and honestly there other thing to work around.
Adding Scaling doesn’t solve things because even the scaling gets outpaced…
Rank 9 will have skills with even higher base damage and enemies with higher defense and health.
Look at Meteor significance at rank 5 vs its significance at rank 8 and it has 400% scaling…
Essentially until the game is “Complete” lower tiers will have to constantly recieve updates or fall out of relevancy as more powerful enemies appear.
Earthquake with Lethargy has 200% scaling, who uses that for damage though after rank 1?
Energy bolt has 150% scaling, and who is using it at rank 8, hell at rank 4?
Fireball is a 1500% damage move that can hit 2-3 targets for 4500% damage output. Throw on agni and it gets multiplied by 3.8 times. It has 2 overheat.
Frost cloud is a …3100%? damage move that can hit a crapload of targets, for an even more ridiculous number of total damage output. Add Quick cast for 1.5 times the damage.
A move with 400% Scaling doesn’t compare unless it has 0 CD lol.
Not every single skill from the first ranks has to be viable later, EQ and EB are CC skills, but there are skills that only do damage, most of those should remain viable late game.
If the scaling gets outpaced it’s because they’re making mobs significantly stronger than that scaling can handle, which is not the way to go. There might be some sort of scaling in the game, but it’s completely messed up.
Let’s go crazy later when IMC decides to “change” Agny when almost every wiz I know in our server already has resetted to a build with at least pyro2. XD
Classes of rank X have skills with base damages for enemies that appear at that rank.
They’re retroactively making skills relevant to higher tiers, but they did similar for R7 and the same skills they buffed are poop again for r8.
More importantly, is the RNG for the orange lvl 300+ weps changing in any thing?
Yes and that’s completely wrong. A lot of r8 builds focus around supporting your r7 or r8 class because of this, there’s no point on getting early classes for damage, unless you get broken items that boost that damage.
The game feels less diverse now than during r7. What will we have 80 classes at rank 10 for?

I had 50 cubes saved up for the agny update thinking the recipe was gonna be rare or something. Got the recipe on the first cube. Got 4 recipes overall, no reroll.
Been playing pyro since the start of this game, so don’t worry when the time comes I’ll still be playing it even when it’s nerfed to the gutter. Pyro for life! Lol

have a gimmicky setup that takes like 15secs and even then get knocked off my psycho 70% of the time. only to have a pyro with less magic power equip a necklace, and do more damage the above buffs
Yeah, I ended up selling the 3 spare recipes I had for 1.5m each. I probably could have made even more money, but at this point I think every pyro main out there probably already got one. Seeing as how common this recipe is and how easy it is to get, I foresee this recipe dropping down to like 500k or less. There are already a bunch of unsold recipes on the market in the 1m range.

instead of fixing the core issues like flat damage of skills, IMC introduces agni necklace, simple as that, they’re lazy as f*ck, soon people will be seeing other elemental necklaces and physical type necklaces that boost your slash/missile/etc damage.
