Ice wall guide!

Hi batcat! Just wondering if you have a skill build guide that i could follow! :smiley:

on further observation, the gust shards look different visually, as in they’re bigger and fewer in number. Perhaps they have different properties?

how do you draw the cells with mouse? (or can i not because i only have 2 walls atm?)

Once I start to hit the boss with IW+PP, I am still very interrupted =/
I am also very slow drawing the cells…
Any tips? or just more practice?

more practice xD, better positioning I guess, all bosses have attack animation and usually the CD of it is very lonk. Just try to see the pattern.

why magnetic force lvl 1 ? i thought it was a great skill

not really xD the only thing that scales with level is damage, the damage is pretty minimal. Level 1 is enough to bring out its full potential.

But at lvl 10 magnetic force has 1397 damage, i think it is pretty good

1 tick of 1397 damage, o_O is not very good.

well, i stand by batcats point, sure cryo2 kino2 (add RC) is too good
it could melt down bosses at full hit
its just that youre only good at that point where your rune of ice and icewall is available, and also when youre facing bosses

the icewall combo is pretty bad when facing horde of monsters with high HP later in game since iceshards DONT PIERCE meaning if there are like 25 monsters, 5 of them blocking in front of you, you wont be able to hit the remaining 20 monsters, after that youll be left waiting for the next cd of icewall and get by using normal attacks and other “meh” skills

and im just not comftable with just few skills to use
kino3 makes up with pole and raise, really reaaaally good in pve and pvp, sure it doesnt do much dmg compared to bursting with rune of ice, but it has way lower cd and you should just let your partymates makeup for the dmg loss too,

Also most bosses move, the only world boss that remains stationary is like dullahan because he gets hit locked, rc ice wall pp is not suitable for any other bosses so it’s not really worth, sure you can clear dungeons and missions fast… But for what xD. The argument lies with the other party theory crafting without actual experience.

I can’t believe I found a topic about this… I thought I was the only Cryo with problems to draw my Ice Walls lol! I am so bad to the point of thinking rerolling into a Swordie or a Sorcerer… I am trying to use my mouse now, thanks to your video.

am not with you with that comment of don’t take cryo2 if you are not take cryo3

you at least HAVE to take cryo2 if you plan to take the combo IW+PP because 6 walls it’s not enough, cryo2 gives enough walls to make that combo worth (or am wrong? :frowning: )

I should have stressed that a build like cryo 2-kino -> rune caster is not a good build, if you are going RC JUST for IW+PP combo or if your going cryo 2 just for extra wall tiles for icewall +PP combo, it is not a good build.

Here are the list of cons and pros of ice wall PP builds.

Pro
Good damage on static enemies.

Con
Long ass cool down
Can’t do efficient damage on moving enemies
bad for clearing packs due to the ice missiles stopping on first target hit
can get interrupted unless you go surecast
NOT viable for world bossing
One tricky pony, once you blow your combo, you useless
RC has long ass cast time

Why Icewall + PP cant contend for world bosses
Boss has high ass hp, your damage is burst, cant compete with archers
your ice wall can get broken by counterspell/ made into someone elses damage by thaum flip, the missiles can get BLOCKED by other ice walls, the boss moves or can get swapped
