Its my 2nd week of mango camping, 100+h still nothing, Thinking about deleting ToS. IMC is a crazy thing, they added 8th channel
Figured I’ll put some words in this thread for future shinobi:
Last time, the flower respawns every 4 hours per channel, but now the flower has a random spawn timer and it’s appearance MAY only be once across all channels. The number of channels also changed from 3 to 8, adding salt to injury. After searching for 8 hours one day, I finally got the flower after 3 weeks. I have made some friends with many players waiting around and looking for the flower too, and in that time watching some of them get their flowers first and others still suffering the wait, I might be able to give some tips on getting the flower.
Some tips I can share include (take the tips with a big spoon of salt though):
-
The flower will most likely appear in the channel that has the most kill activity. There is a rumor that killing corpse flowers can make the flower spawn, and I am inclined to somewhat believe that rumor. In the time I waited, other players were able to get their flower in channels that had a better grinding group that can kill monsters faster while I waited in channel 1, which brings me to my next point …
-
Don’t believe that the flower only spawns in channel 1. It probably spawns there by coincidence as that channel had the most “kill activity” at that point of time. When I got my flower, there were 2-3 players in 3 other channels and 1 player in channel 1, while I was in a channel with an Alemeth grinding party. In fact, the players who got their flower shared that they actually got their flower in channel 3, which I observed had a grinding party most of the time.
-
Change channels every once in a while (I guess, if you feel insecure about your channel) but do not bother with channels with no one inside. I do not believe in the chance that it will spawn in such a channel after seeing 6 flowers spawn in a channel with more players rather than none.
-
Make friends with the players hunting for the flower, like asking them to tell you when they received the flower so you can stop searching for the flower for the day or something.
-
Please commit at least a whole day to find the flower and watch for the flower as much as possible. You never know when another ninja will grab the flower under your nose. Happens rather often.
-
Kill some monsters while you’re at it. There may be more than one channel with a grinding party inside, and (assuming the notion of the flower is to go to the channel with the most kills) it’s better for you to kill some monsters nearby the flower. The flower spawned for me right after killing a corpse flower and after I ran back to the spot, the flower spawned soon after.
-
Drink some coffee, watch some movies and keep a close watch on that flower. I drank some good coffee and watched Gordon Ramsay videos while waiting for the flower.
Then again, my experience may not be true nor be the actual design of what IMC had coded, so my information may be false. I just want to help out upcoming shinobi from this badly designed and extremely RNG-based job advancement.
Good luck!
