@OP: I’m not sure why you’d post something like this openly on a game forum, but if you really are dying soon, then at least you’re going out doing something you love. More power to you.
Sooo… lets go a bit into the intentions of the OP.
Starting a thread saying that he will die soon is pretty outgoing. So what do we achieve by releasing such a personal fact of oneself to the public?
Does he wan’t to be melancholic? Curious what might happen after posting something he’d never post under normal circumstances?
He should expect that leaving such a tiny amount of information will eventually lead in some people doubting in general. Well, considering he’s shaking hands with ol’ death already, he couldn’t care less what people might think anyway.
Posting something in public always comes along with the wish of getting attention. Going with something extreme like “This will be my last mmo cause I’ll cross over the Jordan soon” will undoubtly attract even more.
So whether he’s dying or not is not really relevant to his intentions. He will get attention for doing so, as well as wondering people how to deal with that.
As dying young (considering he’s young) is a serious matter one wants to counter in an appropriate way, one doesn’t want to get fooled by a troll by answering properly, just for making the troll laugh.
So how to deal with such a post properly?
