First off, this isn’t the first part of the optimization. You could argue it’s either part 2 or part 3. But that isn’t really important.
What’s important is why this will never actually be done - their coders are all hard at work on Wolfknights. The engine overhaul ToS needs can’t be done by the skeleton crew it has been left with. If you’ve been paying attention to IMC’s press releases and observing Wolfknights progress carefully, you’d realize that ToS’s horrible condition was a choice IMC made. They chose to invest their resources elsewhere because they didn’t get ToS right the first time.
We’re a lost cause. We’ve got the B team. Things are going to stay bad. If you don’t believe me, google Wolfknights and keep reading about it. Just keep reading until this clicks.

Nop, we dont have the B team. We have the C team at most, cause the B team is on Wolfknights and the A team is a legend.

They only need to change the EXP for those BOSS at other mission more than SIAULAI, guaranteed many will join to hunt for card.

It’s just i don’t know why you bring up having expensive PC in ToS thread. How does it relate to this topic? ToS is badly optimised game so it doesnt coun tif you have cheap office PC or expensive gaming laptop - both will run ToS bad.

Wolfknights existed 2012 already 2012/2013 were the first gamefootages
ToS came after Wolfknights in Terms of planing (first ToS News came late 2013 - early 2014, no real footages)
I considdered the optimisations that were done before as an own try that had been completed therefore 1st – yeah we can say 2nd-3rd – makes no difference
Yeah it most likely won’t change that much - however the fps did get already improved for me… solid 30-40fps (more often 30 – ofc some downspikes now and then but rather short) in a full townchannel - before it was 10-25. Action games usually work with 30fps (console actiongames are even ported with it at least and i wouldnt judge ToS more than a casual consolegamelike - the ios port prooves that one… will most likely Feature same Servers according to some leaks - has not be true)

IMC is a quite “big” Company and they worked on both games at the same time - and even more games - they still have granado, black citadel and solitaire league. Each Team works on their game - usually they dont Switch that many ppl arround - it can be the case, i dont have any infoes about that and cant deny nor proove it. I think however that they certainly raised the funding for wolfknights. - and it does look good… though we already have a bdo
If only there were still classic official RO Servers… i hate renewals… (and iROs is dead - like 20-40 Players and 200+ merchants and bots) - would ease the increasing waitingtimes in Queues when no new/old Players return for R8 and the slowdowntrend continues : / : P
