How to determine which stats affect the skill?

Hi,

I was looking at a lot of people commenting that Sunray is affected by multiple stats. I was wondering how do you find that out? I wanna know if there are other abilities with such characteristics. I have been wanting to make either a STR mage or INT warrior (I like weird characters). If the same doesn’t turn out to be viable I might roll something else.

Secondly, I saw some vids where the archer class was stating a lot of STR, are bow damage / X- bow damage affected by that stat?

I don’t remember where people got the idea that Sunrays Hands is affected my multiple stats, but I can answer everything else.

First of all, here’s a quick rundown of what each stats do.

  • STR increases Physical and Critical Damage. Yes, this does include bow damage.
  • CON increases HP and HP Recovery, Critical Resistance, and Maximum Weight.
  • INT increases Magical Damage and Block Penetration.
  • SPR increases SP and SP Recovery.
  • DEX increases Accuracy, Evasion, and Critical Rate.

So, given this, it’s safe to say that rolling a STR Wizard or INT Swordsman may not be viable. If a Swordsman wants more Block Penetration or a Wizard wants more Critical Damage, it may be best to look at gear instead.

People say that about sunray because it is on the official monk reveal video. Herea the translated one.

OP lol
One stat to increase flee and hit and crit makes STR-DEX builds super efficient on stat points =x

Hey guyz,
Thanks for the replys. By any chance someone know of any other skill which has a similar characteristic as sunray of using multiple stats? Unless someone replies otherwise, I am gonna assume the answer as “no”.

They recently showed a chart about how testers spent their status points in the 2nd CBT. Mostly STR, DEX and INT were used while SPR and CON were ignored. So I bet the devs are gonna tweak around with stats in the 3rd CBT :relieved:

I gotta say I wish they make the 2 stats more powerful by either making all skills benefit from the stats and/or giving some attack and m.attack with it.

I just thought about it, anyone know how many points max we can put in one stat? Just for curiosity o.o

not me but I have a similar question that might give some indication of the answer.

For a beta tester or similar knowledgeable person… does the stat allocation work by giving one stat point per level in ToS?

It seems yes, here’s a Steparu’s video which show some levels up until level max, we can see one point per level up

Edit: My bad, saw 185 str & 143 dex, maybe some levels or the first levels give 2+ points? x_X

I thought I read somewhere that you get 1 point per lvl up, but like you point out, them numbers in the stat points don’t add up to the lvl so something is amiss >_<

(so far it looks like you can put at least as many points into a stat as you have lvls, and possibly more ^.^)

You forgot about his gears, maybe some of them have bonus stats as well. And from Flash’s video, his cleric had a total of 28 status points at level 1.
My best bet is you only get 1 point per level as shown in many vids (or perharps 2 points every 10 level or so )

It appears to be unlimited in CBT2. I only invested my points on INT and I made it to Lv 92.

Hmm, interesting. I just now recall that I sometimes gain a random jump in my stats after adding in my stat points. Like for example, let’s say I have 108 INT and 10 stat points left to distribute. I distributed all stat points into INT which would result in 118 INT, but instead, my INT jumped to 119 after confirming.

Also, like @Pomez said, the status window also displays all bonuses from gear, so at the moment, the only way to know your real base stats is to take off all gear that adds a direct bonus to the five stats.

how much Spirit & Con do you see ?_? i cant read that stuff xD
