Extremely illogical.

Zoomy provides an extraordinary amount of vision for players that use it. It’s not hard to compare the regular maxed out vision that the game provides on its own as opposed to the vision provided by Zoomy. Now, if you take into account that the majority of players don’t use Zoomy, which let me explain this to you again, they are at a huge disadvantage due to their limited vision. Granted, having an advantage such a Zoomy doesn’t ensure ones success 100%, and in fact, by looking at my current rank at #3, some players can actually win games while being at a disadvantage. Furthermore, it’s crucial to take note that just because one can overcome and win games while being at a disadvantage, that does not mean that there is no disadvantage. Some people reading this are most likely thinking to themselves, “well, obviously, a disadvantage is a disadvantage,” to which I apologize but please understand that players like @Turbosodomy are failing to understand the point.

In conclusion, TLDR; Just because some players can succeed while being at a disadvantage, absolutely does not “prove” that there is no disadvantage. This kind of logic is critically flawed and someone with this thought process truly should not be taken seriously.

Also, I don’t understand the hostility here, did I do something to offend you personally? Or, are you just “butt-hurt” that I chose to comment on Zoomy because its a tad bit ridiculous?

If you guys are so concerned about Niko’s IQ why don’t you go and make a thread to discuss it instead of derailing this one?

Let me remind you all that we are talking about a hack that gives way higher advantages than a little more view. And, I don’t know, this seems rather important to be lost into your little discussion.

A wizard (a warlock no less LOL) is “at a disadvantage”. Can’t make this up, people.

If you honestly believe that TOS pvp is so well balanced that seeing the opponent from further away could possible overcome all the invincibility, broken damage, etc. and change the outcome of a match then I seriously feel sorry for you.

In my pretty long life, it’s the very first time I see some players in ANY mmo comparing a stupid zoom mod with a full payed hack. I hope you guys have certified mental issues to justify the idiocy of your words. I hate the ToS community with a passion I didn’t believe could be possible.

No argument can be drawn in favor of hook64, which is why people aren’t trying to make them…

Dislike zoomy does not equal hook64 being okay. Nobody’s saying that it’s okay except for the person who made it, I think.

Hook64 is deplorable, something needs to be done about it. however, zoomy caught my attention when the OP added the screenshot. I had to make a point about how ridiculous zoomy is.

Nah, everyone who uses it is saying it’s a-okay. “We’re just playing the game the way we want to play it guys, settle down it’s just a game c’mon have fun! Godmode in PVP is just good clean fun guys xd”

I’m just glad the PVP in ToS is such a broken joke to begin with that it also being full of hackers can hardly make it worse.

And no, Zoomy or any similar zoom addon isn’t entirely bad, but its misuse definitely is - like when you know someone’s coming from a specific direction so you’re able to perfectly drop that Sleep on their face.

IMC should work with Steam and attempt to utilize VAC bans.

Also the zoomy thing wasn’t a derail attempt. Hacks like hook64 are just logical extensions of addons like zoomy; people try to call it a morally gray area because “anyone can use it” and you saw from the hook64 creator why that logic is flawed.

Both are cancerous, you shouldn’t act like zoomy is any better than hook64 or less “ethical.” But banning isn’t enough.

Anyone can report to steam vac on these hacks (steam page has instructions). Now we just need people with access to the binaries to report.

Zoomy was able to get out of the red area because they added some feature which lets you take “omg purty pictures” and people are now supporting it. Pretty idiotic considering it’s still giving an unfair advantage.

I dare to say thats not the only place they can do that. I saw couple of low lvl people joining my party these past days. lvl 8 to lvl 80 joining my lvl 217 dungeon rush, I only shouted at field not in world chat.
