[Guide] For those iCBT1 participants who still haven't updated their client yet at least once

Here are steps in order to check whether your client is updated or not:

  • Of course you need to have steam open and your account logged in.

  • Library

  • Find Tree of Savior in your list of games

  • Right click it then select properties. You should get something like what is displayed below.

Additionally, for those having steam overlay problems due to it activating while pressing the shift key or whatever, you may disable it by unchecking the “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game button”

  • Going on, among the tabs shown on the window, click the local files tab.

  • Then after that, click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button. It should do the process of checking whether you have the latest files or so. I wonder why steam didn’t automatically have this activated for the beta in order to have early updates ._.

Then that’s it, if ever some files are found out to be outdated then steam should be starting the update download process now for you :smile:

I did that and it said it failed to on one file and that Steam would reacquire it,but nothing happened.I wonder what that means.It still launched normally and went to the server login.

@_@ that’s really weird
It failed on me once and detected 7 files to be out of sync and immediately started a download on my side. Not sure about your case though. Maybe contact the steam technical support?

I’ll try it again.I’m not about to have more problems with this game.

I’m all good to go now.Not sure what the issue was though.If it happens to anyone else,just try it again.

I think it’s a good idea to try launching the game to see if you can get as far as the login screen. You don’t want to find out that you have mystrious problems on once the beta starts.

Weirdly, I only had problems once I verified the integrity of the game cache… was able to launch the game before that but then it said I had like 1XX problems … fixed itself eventually but scurred me hard.

Does going into the log in page mean we’re good to go?

Just the server selection with the big Enter button below on the game means you’re clear to go. I however, was able to get there before verifying my cache so it’s not full proof to just get there to know if you’re clear. So you need to do both verification of cache and launching the game in order to know that you’re totally clear for iCBT2 :smile:
