I have a solution (that doesn’t involve the more abusable solution of allowing others to kick the griefer)
Currently, the instance automatically kicks you if you kill the boss. That shouldn’t be the case. It should be the following:
- Map kicks you out only when ALL mobs are dead.
Problem A: I don’t want to have to kill all mobs to finish the dungeon.
Solution A: Have an exit portal at the end of the boss.
- Just have an exit portal at the end of the boss.
Problem B: Too many instances running on the server will clog up if people can stay in there.
Solution B: Automatically kick once all the mobs are dead.
So the best solution is to combine both an exit portal + auto kick at the end of a full clear. This allows the people who are being griefed to still complete the dungeon, while ensuring that there is still no risk of remaining in the dungeon for an eternity. But note that there is already a 1h limit on dungeon so the ‘clog’ problem really isn’t a problem in the first place.
The weakness of this solution is that it still places the burden on the aggrieved members to clear the dungeon without the help of the griefer, but I guess that’s much better than having no solution at all.
It is better than the solution of forcing some bosses behind roadblocks as it still allows boss rushing.
