GM Information Sessions - Featuring: Orange, Guava, Papaya and Mango

I’m in favour of a test server. When you brought up server instability it seemed like you were making it out for more than what it would be.

It’s also important to note that a test server may not of been what Papaya was referring to.

When you accused Mr Kim of being “stingy” it kind of sounds like you’re blaming him…

English is not a requirement to program. Knowing the correct terms is, but speaking it or having even a basic working knowledge of English absolutely not necessary.

The bugs and other problems can be credited to low manpower, inexperience, bad timelines, etc. and are much more in line with what we know.

Encouraging it is fine, but accusing a company of being cheap for not offering it is unreasonable.

Him could be, not the staff, I got you wrong on the last one thinking you thought I was referring to the staff lol.

But in their case it is necessary tbh, I will explain why, despite they have people translating stuff, it takes time, not all the time is passed correctly which lead to misunderstanding, also, them knowing english, they can deal directly with the reports, be it from the actual team passing to them, but also the ones they might get from the logs in the server.

They are dealing with 2 languages, if it was a game only for KR then I would agree with you there.

I also worked as network administrator in a programming company once, and everyone knew english there, even tho the softwares produced there where all for Brazilian market.

Just knowing the basic of a programming language don’t make one a programmer, small things, and big ones happen unexpectedly.

I myself em no programmer, but when I tried for a couple of times (I won’t say on what lol), even tho I followed the right steps, unforeseen issues appeared, so I had to figure out myself how to fix or bypass it.

Alright, i apologize for the company for that (for you too), but I will tell you, it is in the best interest of the company to have the best employers they can get, and if they give incentive to them, they will develop evem more loyalty to the company and be even more in love with their work.

I was more getting at a smallish company offering language classes, which while it would be great, it isn’t a standard and I’m not sure why you’d expect it to offer them (or give bonuses to do that).

Learning English would be helpful, but it’s not a necessity for a good, bug free game. The Devs aren’t having trouble knowing what the bugs are, it’s actually going and fixing them which leads back to small Dev team, lack of a testing environment, and general complexity of an MMO, assuming it’s language doesn’t seem to be the problem at all.[quote=“Nirimetus, post:22, topic:359471”]

Korea and the East in general is very different from Brazil. There are many more resources and it has one of the highest outputs in programmers and game developers.

You have to tell me now that I’m curious. :stuck_out_tongue:

No need to apologise, it just seemed contradictory. I’m seriously all for company’s encouraging betterment and investment, not to mention I have socialist tendencies. I loathe the idea of working for a company that doesn’t care for its employees, also doing work that the employee has no love for.

Yeah, most of the companies I worked where nice, I do love my old work (Hardware and Software maintenance), I’m loyal to the company I work for as long as I’m satisfied with the way they do things.

I had some bad experiences with some bosses trying to act smart and shave off the max they could off the customers, on the other hand, I worked my own way, and only made the customer waste more money if it was really necessary.

I’m entirely with you. I’m working at one of the big Canadian banks right now, and my managers are fantastic. I have no real love for banking, but I don’t mind showing up too much just because they’re so great.

Now if only corporate themselves began to care more…
